At midnight I was about to have a shower when I saw the soap/shampoo was empty. I went downstairs for asking new one but I’ve been told it was not possible until the day after when the maids will be back. So asked if the hotel was fully booked and the answer was no. So, I kindly asked the staff to pick up a soap from a free room and give it to me. The answer was, surprisingly, « no ». So I got a poor dry shampoo/soap that I hate to use. Not normal at all for this kind of hotels standard.

- The lift can take some time in the morning to move up to 14th floor for breakfast and get back to ground floor - Depending on where you need to go in La Défense area, this may not be closest hotel. Consider approx 10 minute walking time to the 'Esplanade de la Défense' subway station - Rooms are tiny

- In my opinion, the best quality/price ratio in La Défense (I've tried 5 other hotels nearby). I've been in this hotel approx 15 times, it should say enough - A comfortable bed, a warm shower, a good temperature and rooms are silent enough to sleep well - Wonderful breakfast (food, location and view on the city) - Lovely common area with sports bar, games and more - Fun decorations

In the bathroom, instead of separate shower gel and shampoo, two types of soap were provided – one for handwashing and another for showering. The latter was also labeled as suitable for washing hair, but it’s still not a proper shampoo. Guests who are particular about hair care might want to bring their own products. The breakfast conditions were unfortunately not ideal. It's possible that we went down at a busy time (around 7:30), but even so – since breakfast is officially served between 6:30 and 9:30 – it would have been reasonable to expect everything to be well stocked. However, most of the food and drinks were already gone, and almost nothing was replenished. We also couldn’t find cutlery or napkins, and had to collect them from various places ourselves. Additionally, although most of the tables were empty, almost all of them still had dirty dishes and glasses on them. We had to clean a spot ourselves in order to sit down.

Overall, we were satisfied with the accommodation – Mama Shelter has an excellent location. A special highlight was the restaurant, located on the 14th floor, offering a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Several landmarks can be seen from there, which made the experience even more memorable. The room was comfortable and included all basic amenities.

Some of the staff at the reception weren't that friendly, barely saying hello. I paid attention to this as we arrived to Mama from another (much cheaper) hotel that had great service. As the concept is "Mama loves you", I wish they would show this loving attitude a bit more. Also, a bit unhappy with the shower as the water temperature changed a bit, from warm to cooler all of the sudden. Managed to shower anyways so not a big problem.

We stayed one night in Mama Shelter as we went to a concert in La Defense Arena. The location was great as we could walk back after the concert. In our room, I especially loved the bed - the comfiest bed we slept in during our trip. Our room was spacious and clean. We also loved the breakfast buffet: although it was more expensive than in other hotels we stayed, it was big. The hotel concept is playful and nice. We appreciated the free flippers at the reception.

The A/C does not work well in summer and difficult to control the room temp. The windows do not open so you are left in a hot box with no air...

The elevator with the controls on the outside, the hotel's exit , no shower gel or shampoo, just some soap, the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon when we ussualy want to rest.

If you want to go to a concert on La Defense Arena , the location of the hotel is ideal. The area seems safe, but very little animated, the hotel has a surprising interior design but manny unnecessary and even annoying feature it's close to metro station and close to the Mall.
