Access to our room (20) was via an external staircase - might not suit everybody.

Beautiful historic exterior. Sadly let down by execrable interior decor, but that is pretty normal for France. Stripes and floral wallpaper in the same room, of a variety not seen since the early 1980’s and black curtains - why?! But there was a little kettle and mugs provided in the room - much appreciated. Lovely friendly welcome from the lady on reception. Easy to drive back into Chinon for dinner. Buffet breakfast the next morning taken outside which was nice, but frustratingly difficult to achieve a cup of tea - loose leaves with no strainer offered and a milk jug only found on request.

Would have loved it if the restaurant were open!

The quietness, the comfort of the bed, the birdsong in the morning. The bathroom was fine, we had the suite so a good amount of space and we liked the traditional decor. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I was served a really excellent bottle of white Chinon as well!

Shall we say it was very workable and obviously had seen some interesting times. Some updating would improve it but not really necessary for a short stay.

Nice place surprisingly comfortable.. good location near to Chinon..A town we enjoyed. A 2 night stay over.. with adequate breakfast. Lashings of very hot water and mobile heating.

Lovely old manor house with extensive grounds the children enjoyed playing in. Room with kitchenette & outdoor terrace was very practical for our 2 families. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere relaxed. Big bike shed for all our 8 bikes & trailer! Would def recommend for a stop en route if you are biking in the Loire. We would also record the superb municipal pool in Avoine (baby pool & brilliant slide!) as well as pizzeria l’Herozo where we had an excellent evening meal. thanks!

It's a shame that the on-site restaurant is no longer open as it provided excellent food at a reasonable price.

As said, a shame the restaurant wasn't open - but considering the effects covid has had on the entire hospitality industry, the Manoir has survived better than many. It will really be worth a second visit when things hopefully return to normality.

Happiest and most helpful, hardworking staff imaginable (if a little thin on the ground). Lovely old manor house in a very quiet location, with an excellent buffet breakfast. A pity the restaurant wasn't open, as the building and the courtyard terrace could have been idyllic.

Fabulous location, lovely grounds. Peaceful. Charming welcome at reception and check-out. Lovely spacious room, very quiet. Easy to get to Chinon.

A restaurant for dinner would have been very welcome but this didn’t spoil our visit.

We loved the tranquil setting, we could charge our electric car overnight, have a lovely breakfast outside on the terrace, and we had a lovely spacious room. The Logis is dog friendly. The only thing that could have made it better was if it had a restaurant on site as we were quite tired when we arrived. But it was only 4km to the nearest town for a quick supper and back to the Logis for a drink on the terrace. Would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely be back when we need a stopover on our way to southern France.
