Location/grounds not quite as expected for "parc et vignobles". Dinner menu expensive and extremely limited if you want the set menu.

Just to be picky ;-) Room soundproofing could be improved. We heard doors banging during the night or early morning, and the TV from next door room.

Large corner room, bright and with a view of the neighbor's large park. Nicely decorated lounge bar, many local wines available. Large bathroom with quality toiletries. Close to Macon, Cluny and many beautiful villages.

As has been noted in previous reviews, the young man on reception, Guillaume, is sullen and totally disinterested. After a long drive, his indifferent greeting did not get our visit off to the best of starts. When we came to pay the bill, he charged us for the €19 breakfast despite the fact that I expressly told him that we had had the €10 option (fortunately I noticed this before we left and got a refund). The evening meal was OK but overpriced and I would have thought that the basic breakfast could have been included in the room price. I would also have expected basic tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

The room was a good size and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant staff were polite and friendly.

The location is a little out of the way, and the value for money in our opinion was very disappointing. We were shocked at the price for a simple continental breakfast 19.00 Euros per person. I would expect that this should be included within the room price, which is already well above the average in the same region.

Beautiful building and surrounding area, if you don't mind the railway track at the front which has regular traffic. The rooms and facilities are very well appointed and the restaurant was of a high standard.

Little to criticise. Some might find the railway irksome

Incredibly convenient as a stop over for the south or the Alps, or indeed as a base for visiting Beaujolais. Old fashion courtesy here from the welcome at reception to the table. My room was small but very comfortable. Excellent bed and great wifi. Not a huge menu but the food is good, very presentable with a decent wine list. Secure parking

Lovely building well-situated for Beaujolais region and especially for the Georges Duboeuf centre. Very friendly and pleasant service and our dog was made very welcome too. Had a very good dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast the following day too

Great hotel at the northern end of the Beaujalais wine region. It is a really nice hotel and very reasonable at our last minute rate on Booking.com. We had dinner at their restaurant which was absolutely fantastic.

Service in the restaurant was poor. My wife is vegetarian so choices limited. Her mozzarella starter was delicious but her main (from the starter menu) was an artichoke, that's all. Some guidance when ordering would have been helpful.

Waitresses, while eager to please, are not fully trained in restaurant service. In a way this comes with the charm of a country restaurant.

Country setting, pleasant room overlooking beautiful pool and park. Nice restaurant. Gracious and hospitable manager is also maître d'hôtel in the restaurant. Overworked, he needs an assistant.

Great to see an old favourite rejuvenated. The refurbishment has been brilliantly done and Georges Blanc has restored the restaurant to one of the best in the area with excellent food and wine list. Breakfast was how it should be in a quality hotel/restaurant. A great value place to stay.

While the rooms were a bit on the small side, even for a European hotel, a couple of small items could be added to help maximize the space and comfort of the guests: a bar for the towels in the bathroom, and an occasional or side table, or any such flat surface in the bedroom (in addition to the tiny bedside tables), for small items like the room key or sunglasses, or wallets, would have been nice.

The staff provided professional service with a smile; truly a great and helpful team. Nice, peaceful ambiance, with a very good restaurant on the premises.
