Good hotel for travellers with car
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Superior Room with 2 zip-beds
    • Stayed 3 nights

A nice hotel with some parts of the building old stonework but you definitely need a car if staying here as it is quite a long way from Aix-En-Provence. There is a small town a couple of km's away but not many options without going further afield if you want to have breakfast or dinner out of the hotel.

Some of the staff were very rude and unhelpful. The pool was green and there were leaves in it so were unable to use it. No service by the pool, which, if anything, meant the hotel lost out on profits, as we certainly would have ordered more drinks if we'd had some service. Ordered fries and asked if we could have them outside by the pool. The young waitress was very helpful and went off to check with the kitchen and we were told that would be ok. Only to have another waitress come over and say very sternly that this was an exception and we should not expect to be able to do this every day. Unnecessary rudeness. To top it off the chips were undercooked and raw. The breakfast was over priced at 16 euros. There was a problem with one of the dinner bills, after 4 conversations with staff to try to sort it out, (bearing in mind one of our friends visiting the hotel is French and discussed the problem with staff in French) the bill was eventually settled.....however, even after it was paid, one of the other couples in our group had it on their bill still. The staff were not able to figure out from their system that it had already been paid and our friends were basically accused of not being truthful about it. No manager on site so when I wanted to complain, there was nobody with any authority to help.

The room was well presented and clean

Marked as a 4 star which I would disagree with, but other guests at the hotel had newer more modern rooms than us which maybe justified the 4 stars. Toilet cubicle opens directly onto poolside.... Not a hotel to book if you want to park up and walk to places - too far away.

booked this hotel on recommendation for a nearby wedding reception. is in the 'middle of nowhere' otherwise but practical for our purposes. Ate dinner first night there - waitress very friendly and helpful, food was very good. Rooms basic but clean. Swimming pool cold but lovely escape from the heat! Breakfast was a self serve buffet with hot eggs and sausages and a drinks machine.

Excellent location near motorway but private and charming with a lovely pool and a very good restaurant which serves on their pretty terrace in summer. Food is very good, breakfast is excellent. Ample parking. Short drive to lovely Aix en Proven.

The historical farmhouse used as a major part of the marketing is only a minor part of the hotel and is really only a facade. Most of the hotel is really just a hotel chain with minimal charm.

The staff were young, friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet room and they definitely accommodated us. We appreciated that. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It was hard to find as it does have an address that GPS recognises. Restaurant was very limited and a bit expensive. Hotel is far from any town.
