Dinner in the restaurant was expensive for what it was.

Breakfast was out of the ordinary. Not only fresh orange juice but also fresh grapefruit juice!

Breakfast was very good but very expensive at €17pp. Not great to get to on bikes. Through the middle of Angers was quite challenging with lots of traffic and many roundabouts to contend with. So maybe not ideal for 'La Loire a Velo'

Staff were very helpful and found us secure storage for the bikes overnight AND the loan of a USB adapter after I discovered I'd left mine in the car. After cycling all day, we didn't feel we were appropriately dressed for the restaurant BUT the large retail area opposite had a number of options. We chose 'Les 2 Epis' where the staff and food were very good.

I found from first arriving at the hotel it was clean and efficiently run. I have no complaints whatsoever. It has caused me to book Mercure hotels each time I visit France Thank you Mercure

Our room was a little tired but we were only 2 nights

The waiters were excellent, service was well executed and they glided effortlessly around without being intrusive. They also helped us acquire some stocks of wine. Most impressed. Parking free on site and shopping centre across the road.

The fire alarm went off - there were no staff to tell you where to go as there was only one person on duty who was talking to the fire brigade so could not tell guests what was happening. It was a false alarm but at the time we didn't know that.

The staff were very good. There was a good bus link into the city so there was no need to pay for taxis, although on Sundays and in the evenings there is a bit of a walk to a different route. The hotel would get a taxi for you if you wanted and it didn't take long to arrive. The food in the restaurant was good.

    Just the bathroom/toilet very tired!!

Think some of the rooms need refurbishment but this seemed to be in progress, apart from the bathroom Toilet needing some TLC, the room itself was good and bed very comfortable.

Didn't like the vaporator with parfum in the lobby, it was really too much. It's not at walking distance to the citycentre of Angers.

The hotel was fine, staff was perfect. If you like to go jogging: there's a nice park nearby. There's also a big shoppingcentre around the corner.

This is supposedly a four star hotel but we were provided with paper cups to drink tea and coffee from. Not a spoon to be found in the hotel! 2 Wooden spatulas laid on the shelf instead. No toilet brush provided! We were charged 32 Euro's for a gin and tonic and a brandy and lemonade in the bar. That has to be the dearest drinks charges in Europe. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on our first night as we'd driven down from Dunkirk. The food was average with not a vegetable in sight and cost an arm and a leg. Thank god the restaurant closed on a weekend forcing us to eat out at some excellent restaurants. The food in the city was great and the wine was a third of that charged in the hotel.

Most of the staff were excellent but a few were very standoffish. The bed was comfortable and the room was well cleaned every day.

Not a bad experience but the room was not as cleanas it might have been. Dead insects and the toilet floor not too clean. Did not like the shared shower gel so went out and bought our own.

Without exception, the staff were very pleasant and most helpful
