I reserved this room with my Amex card but when my son tried to check out they made him pay with a separate credit card. I wanted it left on my card. Apparently this was not acceptable. Why am I booking through you?

I would appreciate to have a small fridge in the room to keep our drinks fresh

Nicely placed hotel in the small town of Poterson, conveniently situated not too far from Mont St Michel and the main roads to St Malo and Cancale. Decent continental breakfast, it had almost everything. Clean and service very good. The old Montgomery’s house is in addition a very quite place to stay.

The WIFI did not work during our stay. However, the hotel did comp us a free breakfast. Although the lack of internet access was annoying, the free breakfast was a welcome surprise. High marks for customer service.

Some solutions were weird. For example: the window in the room was only to open wide. Means either fully open or no air circulation at all. This wouldn't be an issue if there was an air conditioner - but no such thing and not even a ventilator. In hot summer days an obvious problem. Another point: neither the bathroom nor the toilet-room are equipped with a door lock. Just wonder why?

The building itself is amazing. A lot of ancient details and furniture combined with modern equipment. Exceptionally clean. Located in a very convenient area of the town in a good distance to Mt Saint Michel. The staff was more than friendly. Helfpul and spoke english (this is not always guaranteed in France). Mostly free parking in the nearest area. However not part of the hotel grounds. Breakfast area is very charming.

As expected the hotel was made from several buildings with floors at different levels. There was an elevator but it didn't go to the level our room was on presenting us seniors with a flight of stairs to carry our luggage up.

To preserve the authenticity of this historic building, the rooms have not been modernized and seem dated. In Europe, mattresses do not feel like the comforts of North America.

Hotel is located on the Main Street. It is a historic building with lots of character. The bathrooms in the rooms have been nicely renovated to modern standards. Breakfast was enjoyably presented, with standard selection.

Would have been nice to have been able to have ordered a light snack

We booked this hotel as it wasn't too far from the finish of the marathon du mont saint michel and we were pleasantly surprised - weren't expecting too much but it was lovely. Rather oldy worldy with character and very friendly staff. There was no food apart from breakfast (which we didn't have) but there was a lovely courtyard for enjoying a drink in (until the skies opened!).

Hotel design (combination of history and modern with a medieval taste). IMHO the squeaky stairs represented a better choice compared with the slowly modern elevator (of course if u don't have luggage). The bed was comfortable, bathroom modern and immaculate. Small but peaceful inside garden is the best place to make up and prepare for a long visiting day. Excellent, young, friendly and helpful front-desk staff. Great place to access (by car) Mont St. Michel.

Our room looked out onto a side street. Across the road was an apartment block. There were some very noisy tenants in one of the apartments and the noise went on till very late. This didn't spoil our stay but maybe it is something the hotel should be aware of.

The building obviously had a history and though the rooms were clean and modern, there was reference to the buildings past. The en-suite bathroom was modern and immaculate.
