Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI was in a standard room which was a good size but the entryway very tight. The room door catches on bathroom handle so part of door had to have been shaved off - photo illustrates this.
Great position close to tram and within walking distance of the train station. Staff were welcoming and mostly friendly and there were nice areas inside & out to relax with a coffee or drink from the small bar.

United KingdomBeer had gone off in the bar before our arrival apparently but was not changed during our stay. Breakfast room has a low ceiling, therfore can be a little noisy especially if there is a hen party fro Newcastle in.
Location near tramway direct from airport, close to the sea, bars and restaurants all walkable. Hotel was clean with friendly staff.

FinlandWe had a very nice stay. We had booked a comfort room but were up-graded by the hotel to excecutive room, which was a wonderful surprise. Interiors have been freshened quite lately so everything is tidy and in good condition. The hotel is located close to tram and train station and the promenade, very easy access by foot to many places. Also lot of nice restaurants close by. (The Miamice just opposite the hotel was great for pizzas and cocktails, big dishes!) The street is peaceful, but if your room is facing the street you may still want to have earplugs for night just in case. We slept really well, bed was big and not too soft. Breakfast is really OK: breads, croissants, pastries, sausages, cold cuts, scrumbled eggs, juice, cereal, yoghurt etc. Staff was nice and helpful. Would recommend!

United KingdomRoom 17, is lovely but the A/C needs maintenance. The shower does spray out over the floor and make it messing and slippery. A reconfigure is needed, although the shower itself is good.
The location was perfect for the tram connection to the airport. It was easy walking to many places in the city of Nice. It is a nice area, quite quiet most of the time. The church next door does not ring the chimes. There is a nice bar opposite for a drink after a day sightseeing, with sun terrace. Breakfast was very nice and exactly what you would expect in France. The staff were friendly and helpful. We participially like the chap who was on the late shift and manned the bar, although all the staff were great. The Hotel has a sense of style which we liked. It is a clean and tidy hotel.

New ZealandThe only negative is the pillows which are far too hard. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about this property.
Staff were amazing. We didn't like our first inside facing room and they happily changed it the next day to one with a stunning view (the Nice dream). Lovely clean, well sized room and very well kept and clean hotel. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Fantastic location close to the main centre, Old town and promenade/beautiful seaside with tons of great food places (try L'alchimie just around the corner). Would highly recommend this hotel

PortugalOver all, it was great. If I am being VERY picky, I can think of two things: (1) The single elevator was slow, so occasionally we had to take the stairs when it was busy; this wasn't a big deal for us, but for some guests it might be a bigger inconvenience. (2) The mini fridge was not very cold at all; we didn't trust it to keep cheese cold, and it was insufficient for chilling something like beer. These were very minor things, however, and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
The room was beautiful, comfortable, bright, and nicely appointed. We stayed for 9 nights, and the housekeeping staff did a truly amazing job when cleaning the room daily, even replacing bedside glasses with fresh ones (yet keeping the new ones in the same location). They always left fresh coffee, tea, and bottled water. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many nice hotels but have never experienced such thorough, thoughtful daily service. In addition, the hotel location was perfect for our needs: an easy walk to the Old Town, yet also close to the train station, which we used several times for day trips. Breakfast was good, with friendly and attentive staff.

My time at La Villa was wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful exterior, plus a fun combination of old and new within, and it is impeccably clean. Its location was great for the price--a 5-10 minute walk from the seaside and to main shopping areas. Despite being on a main thoroughfare, it was quiet.
