Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Nothing really. We came late in the year. So very quiet
Beautiful room, very spacious. Really clean. And little seating area outside. Arrived Sunday so no restaurant. There’s grill restaurant 2 min walk. Lovely and quiet too

Internet was terribly slow and totally useless. Outlets in the room were few and in inconvenient places. Breakfast also was very crowded since there were 3 different groups staying in the hotel and two of them were leaving at the same time.
Dinner was terribly crowded but the staff made an effort to accommodate us.

Front desk staff are grumpy miserable unwelcoming and unhelpful. Bar staff are excellent.
Position is good for onward travel. Just out of the town by a very low use provincial airport. Lovely outside bar and pool area with excellent secure free parking.

Staff at breakfast they were quick to clear all the food from the counter I didn't eat what I wanted like scrambled eggs etc.
The staff were excellent ,very welcoming and the outdoor restaurant by the swimming pool was very romantic.

My room was in need of a refurb. The grass areas and rear garden and grass needed attention, overgrown and not pleasant to sit in or look at. Of course the member of staff who didn’t do his job
Nice atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and nice except for one, who had absolutely no people skills caused my partner two sleepless nights. Pool was a lovely extra. The manager was exceptional and sorted out a problem I had professionally and promptly.

A real kids menu on paper ;-)
Room was great enough for 1 night. Very excited when you leave the room using your terrace, you immediately entered the pool area. Great stay! The hotel did not excepted some young children, but they created a menu for my kids which they very liked!

I've stayed in this hotel before, but unfortunately I was initially given a large bedroom, where the outside private sitting area, was adjacent to an entrance corridor, obviously intended for smokers, having bins to extinguish cigarettes. Being nonsmoker with health issues, my complaint was quickly addressed and I was given another room, to my liking.
It's quiet, even though it's close to the airport. I also like the layout of bedrooms bring on the ground floor, each with its own little private sitting are at the rear of the bedrooms. parking is not a problem.

Nothing. This is part of the chain, and so, it had all that we would have expected at any one of the others and met US standards. Remember, this is by the airport, and if you are planning a few days at Avignon, I would recommend looking at properties closer, or with a convenient bus to go to Avignon.
We were just passing through Avignon. The place was great, and the breakfast included was great! We thought that it might be noisy next to airport, but there was no noise. And the receptionist was nice to print out some papers for me. (Thanks!)
