Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing really.
Accessibility of the birds. The fact a variety came to sit on the balcony and nearby stumps. That the birds were free to fly around and at speed! The guide to enable you to identify the large amount of species in the park, including non birds. I loved sitting in bed in the morning watching the birds. Breakfast at the restaurant each morning, lovely walk over and then access to the park before the official opening time.

The service was over and above. We didn’t eat in the restaurant at dinner as it had some negative reviews, but the breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely return to stay in a jaguar lodge and may even try dinner aswell. What an experience!! Highly recommend. Was expensive but was worth it. Actually ended up the highlight of the holiday.

United KingdomThe staff were both excellent and friendly throughout our stay, and treated us like friends despite us not being able to speak very good French. The lodge we stayed in, Pantanal, was overlooking a tree full of scarlet ibis, and parrots flew onto our balcony constantly. It was truly immersive and amazing. The lodge was a single very large bedroom, with two bunk beds behind a double bed looking out onto the balcony. There are no curtains so you feel as though you are in the aviary. The air conditioning is excellent and the standard of bedding and facilities are superb. We valued being able to wander around after closing time, being able to see the jaguars in their enclosure as well as viewing the whole aviary from the raised walkway. This was a truly magnificent, memorable experience and it would be very difficult to see how it could be improved.

United KingdomIt’s quite far from anywhere if you don’t drive. The restaurant you can get your evening meal from is quite expensive if you don’t have a deal to eat there with your booking.

EstoniaThis place really exceeded our expectations. It was so cool to watch the parrots fly in pairs in the evening close above our heads. Also there was a parrot greeting us on the balcony in the morning.

United StatesThere was nothing that we didn't like.
This was the most unique hotel experience we e ever had and I could not more highly recommend it. The jaguars spent several hours just outside our window of the treehouse. Just an excellent stay overall.

NorwaySadly we only had 2 days here and no car so we didn't have much time to secure groceries, so it would be nice if they had any alternative for those who arrive later in evening. The restaurant closed pretty early, same with the reception, so it was very difficult to get food and water at those hours. They did go out of their way though, after restaurant was close, to get us pizzas so that's was great. Maybe we should've been better at explaining our needs, maybe we were too polite. There was a language barrier problem with certain employees but that was kind of expected. We arrived from Disney world late in the evening and when we went to the restaurant during closing hour, we felt we were met with confused/stressed/bewildered looks almost as if they thought we were trespassing or something. We felt like aliens:P But the zoo-lodges made everything worth the while! We do suggest renting a car going here, because it will make things a lot easier.
The Jaguar lodges was beyond our expectations and our 2 days felt liked the shortest sweetest dream ever. Living among the Jaguars and the animals was very therapeutic, beds were comfy, bathroom/shower was very good and overall clean. The zoo was bigger than expected and whole area around was spectacular and magical! We will definitely consider going back. Merci! One big shoutout to their taxi-partner LadyDriver! They made our commute very easy and painless.
