Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Only small little cups for coffee, prefer mugs or bigger cups. Not so soundproof when person is busy cleaning.
Reception was VERY helpful. Lara and Adriana help us a lot with busses and so friendly, will come back .

The accommodation is an apartment block and not attached to hotel whatsoever. But amazing price for what we paid. A lot of hills so not so suitable for elderly or vulnerable without car. Beds were not too comfy towards accommodation that we have been staying in.
Location was amazing, walking distance to main square. There is a free shuttle bus that was not so obvious when we arrived. Make sure to check this as a short walk can lead to a long walk with a lot of hills. The free shuttle is great and so handy. Check it out as it does laps of the town free of charge which are really frequent. Although we did not deal with staff much, reception staff in The Best Western to check us and out in were really friendly and kind.

In our bedroom, the bathroom could not really be opened as on a public corridor
Quiet residence but very central. The free car park is a plus. Beds are very confortable

The Wifi was not working most of the time.
The apartement was within walking distance to the center. We loved the whole aparement but especially the shower was great.

The property is in a nice residency building separated from the hotel. The room has some problems in the walls(some painting went off and cracks on the wall) but overall it was comfortable and clean.

The access to the parking is very steep, otherwise nothing to say
Nice and spacious room with a small balcony and a dressing. Free parking and small fridge. Clean and comfortable. Very close to the city center and thus very nice at night to enjoy all the cute pedestrian streets and restaurants of the old town.

It is a bit tucked away, was quite difficult to find, we learned after calling that the check-in needs to be done at the nearby Alcyon hotel, something not clearly explained from the start, the reception flyer not enough explicit with regards to the location of the residence. Also, hated the passive-aggresive language menacing a fine of 40/50 euros if one does not clean the place - which hangs in the kitchen.
Everything seemed squeeking new, the appartment was large and very well equipped, with access to a generous balcony, comfy bed. We are a family of four and we slept well in the bed and extendable couch.

Lights are modern but not very bright. The bathroom needs some wall hangers.
Very neat and clean. Furnished and modern kitchen. Quiet place,not noisy, good mattress. Very spacious apartment. Everything was modern and practical.

Everything was absolutely perfect, I highly recommend this residence to everyone. It is located in the very centre, yet it is very quiet, the garage is spacious enough even for bigger cars, even though the slope is quite steep. The apartment is very clean, modern, spacious and well air conditioned. The terrace is deep enough to have enough shade. Wonderfull property in the town we love.

One of the three nights we stayed there, our air conditioner was not working (it was 90+ degrees F out). We called reception, they couldn’t fix it or get us another room. They also didn’t offer us a make good for this major inconvenience (despite us asking, twice). The WiFI was also spotty, our friend who stayed on the first floor had no connection at all.
Hotel was clean and location was nice as it was a short walk from the hustle & bustle of the town.

the apartment was rent for 3 adult persons. Toilet and shower are accessible only through the bedroom! no separate entrance. that is extremly uncomfortable for the third person sleeping in the main room as well as for guests sleeping in bedroom.

I was extremely disappointed with the overall service provided, especially considering the price tag associated with the property - I had simple requests & they were largely disregarded. The property is also deceptively badly located next to a building site. Additionally, check in is done on alternative premises which is inconvenient. Spend your € elsewhere
