Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceFlexibility and advice. I was not told (I came late) that I had to order breakfast and was not able to got breakfast the next morning. Staff was not able to give advice to where I could go for breakfast at 8 am. I lost a lot of time. Bed was too hard for my liking.
Checkin. No elevator but my suitcase was braught to my room.

United KingdomOld building. The facilities have a specific smell. Be careful, not all rooms have their own bathroom and toilet, so you have to share them.
Regular hotel in the 18th area. Not far from the Gare du Nord railway station and really close to Montmartre

GermanyThe room was very cute, and the view was simply beautiful. Plus is in a practical distance from the North Station and the Montmartre area.

IrelandThe shower was an issue—the hanging curtain makes the space so cramped that it’s difficult to wash comfortably. There is also no large mirror.
The location is excellent—close to restaurants, shops, and just a few dozen steps from the basilica. The bed was very comfortable; I slept really well, and there was plenty of space in the room. It’s a three-star hotel, and I think the price matches the standard you receive. The reception staff were very friendly. Overall, I would recommend it for a short stay.

FranceThere was a bad smell coming out of the drains. The toilet was not well scrubed when we arrived; it looked clean but when I scrubbed it there was a strong smell of urea (maybe it was bleached and not cleaned properly?)

United KingdomLoud at night. Room was very hot and no aircon, plus the hot water pipes went through the room without any insulation (second floor) which heated the room excessively. Bit noisy on Friday night with other guests and neighbouring properties.
Helpful staff. Phenomenal location. Comfortable bed and good shared bathroom facilities

United KingdomStaying on the 6th floor and no lift…108 stairs up. If you have mobility challenges this isn’t the place for you. Also, even though I was aware before visiting, communal shower rooms. They were clean and it was rare I saw anyone else but still, personally prefer an en-suite! Breakfast was fine for 1 day but there’s so much around locally it’s not needed every morning. It’s quite basic for the price although the home baked croissants smell amazing in the morning!
Location was excellent and being in Monmartre felt like a real Parisienne experience. The staff were friendly and lovely and always greeted with a smile. The bed room was clean and sheets etc felt great quality.

United KingdomHaving only one, very thin, pillow in the bedroom was a surprise, and the bedding was average at best. There was a tv in the room, but it did not work. This is my fault as I sadly can't seak French, but I wasn't expecting to have to share the bathroom / shower with three other guests.
The staff were friendly,. and the room was clean. I liked the small balcony, and there wasn't much noise at all. It was easy to find and only a short walk from the Metro.

United StatesThe bathroom situation was strange, there was a small toilet in what felt like a broom closet on the floors. It was old but clean- multiple times I went and there was no toilet paper, or soap in the shower rooms. Also, the walls are thin! The man in the hallway across from me was speaking VERY loudly all night and it sounded like I was in the room with him. My last thing is not a huge problem but just something to be aware of! There is no elevator! I climbed 6 flights with my luggage. Again fine but just need to prepare for it.
The room was lovely and clean! It had most everything you need- it was small, but fine for the price. There was a bed, a window that opened, and a sink. The location was fantastic, definitely the best part, besides the sweet cat that lives in the hotel! A very short walk from the base of sacré cœur, and many bars and restaurants that were lovely. I felt safe by myself at night as a female solo traveller and had no trouble getting in and out of the hotel.

United StatesPersonally for me since I traveled light, it wasn't an issue but others should keep in mind that there is no elevator.
Location is great, it's on the residential side of Montmartre. Like most areas, there are plenty of transportation options and Gare du Nord if you need Eurostar. There are also a decent amount of food options and hip cafes nearby. The staff was so kind and there is an adorable cat on the premise.
