Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe bedding on the extra bed was not clean. However this was rectified immediately once I raised my concern to the female staff member. I did raise it to a male staff member on the earlier shift, however he did not fix this unfortunately
The staff were very attentive and helpful with my concerns or requests. The room was surprisingly spacious for my family of five. We really enjoyed the connecting door feature between the two rooms. Heater, fan and windows were also very welcome features. The lift was very convenient. 24hr reception, I could put my food in the fridge and hot water was complimentary in the lobby. The supermarket around the corner was convenient, as too was the corner chicken shop for a late night snack and the metro.

United KingdomThe size of bathroom, but very much a minor quibble.
Location was excellent for our trip and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and fine and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but the shower was good.

United KingdomThe area felt a little unsafe & dirty, very basic hotel, you have to leave the room key every time you went out, no drinks making facilities in the room, unfortunately the toilet seat broken, no nice cafés nearby.
Friendly & helpful staff, easy access to public transport, metro nearby so direct travel to centre of Paris & Gare du Nord, great as a base for 3 days, cleanliness, plenty of storage, little supermarket across the road very convenient, our room had a view of Sacre Coeur which was an unexpected bonus.

United KingdomThe general area appears less than salubrious, but is actually ok.
Easy to find (a short walk from Stalingrad Metro station). Friendly welcome from the staff, English spoken. Check-in was easy. Room was clean and comfortable, bed and bedding was clean. Good storage space (wardrobe and shelves). Room was quiet, no noise from outside. Bathroom and shower clean and fully working. Continental breakfast for 12EUR pp was good. Overall, great value hotel, convienient for the metro, Gare du Nord and the city. A couple of good cheap places to eat nearby and a supermarket nearly opposite

IrelandBreakfast - there was a charge for something very basic. Went to bakery a few doors down and had two coffees, two hot choc and four huge pastries all for the same cost of one breakfast in the hotel - €12.00
Near Metro. Hotel quiet. We had a family room with en-suite (bit like a granny flat) at the back of the hotel. Very quiet. No one above or beside us, small courtyard. Short walk to Metro or 30 mins walk to Pont Neuf

United KingdomThere was no hand soap in the room and a kettle would have been nice.
The beds were comfortable and the staff were lovely. It was really good value for money. The hotel was easy to get to and could travel in and around Paris very quickly with the metro. The views from our room were really nice and there was a lift which was good as we stayed on the top floor. We also had a balcony which was unexpected.

RomaniaThe room did not smell very well. The sheets on the bed were clean, but with some small spots. The floor makes noise when you step on it, which however did not bother me. Not in the best area of Paris.
The rooms are furnished in a modern manner and look good. You could adjust the heating to your preference. The price is very good.

United KingdomThe bed felt a bit too firm for our liking and the pillows were a bit soft, thats why we asked for extra pillows. The surrounding area of the hotel felt a bit unsafe as its populated with poor people but they didn't approached us or accosted us
The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom only had a shower and was a little bit small but it was enough for the duration of our stay. Staff was nice and provide extra pillow when asked. Staff was helpful with directions and map of Paris. Easy to get into city centre by Metro only 15-20 min journey and 10 min walk from Gare Du Nord. Supermarket just across the road for getting water and a few snacks

GermanyCompared to other independent hotels in the Gare du Nord/Gare de l'Est area, Hotel Reims is very clean and modern. Friendly staff. 15-20 minute walk to the stations or one stop on the Metro. The area is a bit sketchy, but it's only a short walk to the nearest Metro station (Stalingrad).
