Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe main issue that wasn't mentioned in the advert on Booking.com is the apartment is located adjacent to a wine bar. I only found this out after making the booking which was non refundable. After booking I was contacted by the main tour operator Maeva.com for payment and was provided a link to their website. The bar and the possibility of noise pollution was listed in red text in the description. This really should have been mentioned in the advert on Booking.com as it was too late to give me chance to discuss with the group before booking. If I had cancelled the full rent would have been lost. Even though it is a wine bar it's more like a night club from 10pm through to 2am. In the bedroom closest to the bar it was almost like being in the bar itself. Fortunately as I'd read this before our departure we all turned up equipped with earphones. That said you could still hear the music and noise of the night-time revellers in two of the bedrooms. I doubt we would book this apartment again due to the noise. There are many other apartments in this complex that can be booked via Pierre et Vacance. The other issue we encountered in both ensuite showers was a terrible sewage smell. This went whilst using the shower but returned throughout the day. We tried bleach but this didn't help much.
The apartment is well equipped and in very good condition. We were a group of 7 adults and it worked really well even with one person using the sofa bed in the living area. The sauna in the bathroom was an added bonus. The communal jacuzzi was also good and the pool area. However if you're a keen swimmer it's not great for swimming lengths. The proximity to Meribel Centre and its facilities was great. The supermarket and bakery are within a few minutes walk as are several bars and restaurants. The lifts are a little further away but there is a bus stop within 200m that takes you to La Chaudanne lift area. We didn't use the ski lockers at the accommodation as it was too far for us to walk in boots. We used the ski lockers beneath the lift at La Chaudanne. It was €84 for one week to store 5 pairs of skis and boots. There is a nice reception area with nice seating and a pool table. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. However they work for Pierre et Vacance so there was little they could do about the noise as that particular apartment is outside of their management.

United KingdomThe sauna was quite small for an 8 person apartment but could fit 3 people in. The kitchen was missing some basic utensils such as wooden spoons, sharp knives (they had loads of blunt ones) etc, but had most other utensils. The toaster had weird metal grills on the top making it difficult to get the toast out without a fork or getting burnt. We left the floors cleaner than when we arrived. There was dust and hair on the floor but we left it better. The table had seating for 6 but the apartment was scoped for 8. I would not recommend anymore than 6 people in this as the living room sofa bed is not comfortable. The nightclub/pub next door was utterly terrible. At 2am everyone left making a racket and climbed down what sounded like metal stairs. It woke the whole apartment up every night. It was odd that you could not get to floor 5 from the bridge and had to go down to the reception area and get the level 3 lift up. The slopes come out on level 5 if you follow the road up. It would be great if they allowed you to walk past the bar and into the apartments. The WiFi router was small and could not reach the entire apartment but was still good to include private WiFi. The leaving instructions were a little unclear but we got a phone call the day beforehand. We had a little form to fill out that looked like it had been scanned 100s of times so unreadable.
Room A501. The bedrooms and private sauna were great. The kitchen was great and had a lot of space. The fridge worked really well, the oven was spotless, and heated the food great. The location was brilliant and a short 5-10 minutes walk down to the slopes. The lockers were great and included but didn't use them except the first night as we had booked ski case on the slopes to save carrying skis everywhere. We arrived just to late to check out stuff into the ski case lockers as they closed at 6pm. They were located just under the main gondola. Most bathrooms had heated flooring which was amazing for getting out of the shower, and the shared bathroom has its own sauna and jacuzzi bath. The sofas were pretty comfortable and table chairs great. Plenty of storage in the apartment. I would recommend putting suitcases in the cupboard/bathroom area out of the way. It had 2 really great balconies with plenty of chairs and amazing views. We were able to see the slopes from the living room, and it was great seeing the trucks grooming the snow at night. The apartment came with private WiFi that you were given on entry.
