To keep the rating score and review content relevant for your upcoming trip, we archive reviews older than 24 months.
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).
눉Apartment was on a hill, wifi wasn't good and can't understand why I had to pay extra for bedding, towels and cleaning. I expect bedding and cleaning in with the bill so I felt a bit ripped off and although wifi was available it was slow and intermittent.
눇Friendly hosts, lovely apartment, great beaches, nice places to eat and visit
눉The additional charges on check in for the sheets, towels and local taxes. These should be included in the price. Beds not made up on arrival. The additional fee of 70 Euro for the cleaning at the end. The villas were minimal upkeep. Watched two cleaners spend less than an hour in an adjacent villa for the cleaning fee. I cannot believe that this is the type of accommodation which will attract people who will leave a mini villa in such a condition that it would need the amount of cleaning which the owners charge for. The handbook in the room says the cleaning fee is optional but on booking the mini villa the optional cleaning fee has become compulsory. Our villa had 15 narrow and steep steps up to it. It would certainly be unsuitable for anyone with a physical disability. The steps to our mini villa could be made safer by the addition of a hand rail. I must emphasise that not all villas are like this. Many are at ground level and readily accessible but anyone with a mobility disability should inform the owners so a more easily accessible villa is provided. We had a few cool nights and the rooms do not have heating or blankets.
If coming to this property from Ajaccio we would recommend the main road between Ajaccio and Propriano. Our sat nav took us a shorter more direct route but it was through the mountains with many, many hairpin bends, not what we wanted after a flight which left UK at 06-15!
눇The facilities in the mini villa were excellent. The patio had a table, four chairs, two loungers and a parasol. The sea view from the patio was lovely. Excellent pool. The grounds are beautifully kept. The properties are maintained in excellent condition. Crockery, kitchenware are good quality and plentiful. Dishwasher was very useful, even if we did leave 20+ tablets!
If you have a car, the beach and facilities at Porto Pollo are absolutely first class and well worth the 20 minute drive.
