No one at the hotel when we turned up (although it was 9pm) and the breakfast was quite expensive.

We found the bed very hard and the pillows were the most uncomfortable things ever, they definitely needed to go in the bin. At 3am someone decided to hold a party in their room and we had to call security to get them to shut up.

The hotel is in a fab location right on Calais sea front, the parking is good and the staff on reception very easy to deal with.

The person on reception (Leo) made sure we had everything we needed and reassured us which was so nice as it was our first time out of the UK in years. The room had a great view and it was nice to have cooking facilities as we didn’t want to drive on the right of the road immediately. Close to the ferry port.

Unfortunately early departures(3am) resonate through the building located 50metres from the main hotel du golf. cleaning staff failed to notice the build up of solids under the lip of the toilet, clearly visble from the bath. Our server at dinner was very attentive, Unfortunately other staff in the dining room were more concerned with themselves and a friend with his dog, the caressing of which followed by the handling of bread for customers suggested a lack of understanding of basic hygiene, which in turn reflects on the Hotel management and training.

The room has had a significant facelift since we last stayed there. The additional facililities could prove useful in the future. The hotel is well situated near to the beach with good parking. The restaurant always produces an enjoyable evening meal at a reasonable price.

The sound insulation was not very good, we heard a lot of noise from inside the hotel as well as from the outside, with the windows closed. It was a bit cramped with two adults and two children. The bunk bed for the children was next to the entrance of the room, in front of the toilet and bathroom doors, with no windows. Also only 3 chairs were provided at the table, even though it's a 4 sleeper room.

We stayed in a room with a lovely seaview. It's the perfect location, close to the beach. The staff was very friendly.

We found everything O.K.

Only 10 minutes from the tunnel. Pleasant staff. Large spacious, bright room. An excellent buffet breakfast. Ample parking around the hotel.

Unusually, compared to our previous stays, the room was cold. Neither heater, in the bedroom or bathroom, were working. As the hotel closes at 9pm we could not take this up at reception.

This was our overnight stay on our return trip home. Spacious room with kitchenette if needed. Convenient for our early tunnel crossing. There is no restaurant in the hotel but snacks, I believe, are available and there is a cafe/restaurant next door. The menu there is predominantley moules + or burgers - no vegetarian options. About 10minutes walk away there is a good Indian restaurant and various other bistros. The breakfast in the Residence de Golf is excellent.
