Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt has nothing to do with the hotel, but DON'T TRUST GOOGLE MAPS on your way here and back. It has no idea. Stay on the good paved road, don't buy the idea of a "faster route" - you will end up in front of "No entry" sign or a barrier. Learned it the hard way.
I traveled with a car, so it was a good way to spare a couple of euros for the room as well as for the parking. My objectives were a long walk through Colmar and a hike around Lac Blanc/Lanc Noir in Vosges (which I cordialy advise to take). The location of the hotel just between those two point was perfect. It also can be a good idea to visit the hotel's restaurant - I was positively surprised with it.

SwitzerlandNot negative but would be appreciated if there was a small fridge in the room. sometimes, travelers bring snacks and provisions in their luggages when traveling by car. It would help to keep them cool during our stay esp. in summer season.
I liked the quiet mountain location of this hotel. I also appreciated the easy use of the spa, after a tiring, traveling day. The room was big enough for 2 people, and the bed firm!

Staff was nice, the spa facilities were great. The location was also beautiful, in the mountains, close to Colmar as well. The room and bathroom were a very good size, nice big windows.

United KingdomThe WiFi connection was difficult to use at first. Had to persevere. We ate at the restaurant and were not impressed with the menu. We felt it was overpriced and was reflective of mass catering.
Breakfast had a good selection. The spa was very good, clean and easy to use. Room was a decent size. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The WiFi was okay but kept dropping out.

NetherlandsThe time window of the Spa 15:00-19:00 is to short. The room and building are outdated with a 70’s interior. In that case, the off-season price is to high and should be somewhere 40 - 50€.
Very flexible hotel, due to car trouble a day delayed and no problem with change of the dates. Friendly personnel which help you and provide a pleasant stay.

GermanyThe room (superior) is just OK. Though it was clean enough, on the floor we found some spilled coffee powder, a hair tie + many hairs, a very dirty floor towel... as if it had not been vacuumed at all after the previous visitors. Breakfast and dinner were also just OK, nothing to blow your mind.
Good nights sleep with a comfy bed and quiet surroundings. Location in the "center" of Labaroche is very good, both for local visits (farmers market right next door, museum) and for hiking tours. Small but high quality spa area. Parking is not an issue. The staff is kind and helpful. The cycling "Tour Alsace" was passing at the time in front of the hotel which was fun.

SwitzerlandWe could not travel to Elsass that weekend. We booked a family room for two nights in this hotel. Unfortunately, 2 of our children got sick just that week. We cancelled the first day booking, aware that we would lose the first day payment. We asked for consideration for the 2nd day. The hotel would not hear of it. We were fully charged for 2 days, not using the room. We understand the non-refundable policy. Our issue here is customer service. Many travelers face unforeseen circumstances esp. traveling with children. Booking.com also tried in our behalf for consideration. This hotel did not budge. Kindness is a virtue. It goes a long way. Hence, we share our experience dealing with this hotel. This hotel only had this non-refundable option. It is up to the reader to take risks at non-refundable terms

Ukraineit was our best decision to stay here instead of the city. Excellent hotel. It is possible to visit the spa center for free, which we did for 2 days. The spa is not big but very good, there are several saunas, a steam room and a pool. There is also parking on the territory. We had a superior room, it looks better than in the photo. Also, I thank the staff for delivering dinner to the room when the restaurant was full. The location of the hotel is very good, it's quiet, the view of the mountains. Keep in mind that in winter you will need snow chains! And please check the road, because at first our navigator took the wrong road and we drove along the cobblestones (with dangerous descents). But there is a different nice road nearby and you will get to Colmar in 20 minutes. It is also obligatory to go to a wine degustation and drive along the wine road. Visit small towns. You'll like it. In Colmar I recommend to be no more than 1 day.
