Excellent for skiing. Skis and boots were stored in the ski shop next door at no charge and the Rochbrunne cable car was within 100 metres of the hotel, albeit up some steep stairs or the roadway. Gluten free diet was well dealt with. A choice of breads and rolls at breakfast and for the two dinners that we took in the hotel restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff who booked ski lift passes and restaurants for us. It’s an easy 5 minute downhill walk to the town centre to excellent restaurants and the opportunity to laugh at the price tags in some of the couture label shops!

Breakfast amazing, beds were super comfy and the atmosphere in general couldn't have been better. I would definetly repeat. Great place for a skiing holiday, gate to gate with the main cabin, telepherique, that takes you up to Rochebrune. Plus, we would go back with our kids!

Possibly more variety on the evening meal menu.

The ambience of the hotel was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. It cost more than we would have liked to spend at £2000 for a week but then everything and everywhere in Megeve is expensive.

    - no real sauna-plus what they don’t advertise is that you need to reserve it 24 h before- not ideal for skiing holiday. It’s just a big shower room that was added off the main lobby! It includes dry room but has no other facilities to enjoy it- not even a toilet inside. Not even a trash can or tissue box or real shower supplies. - rooms are really in need of upgrading- bathroom is tiny and very old too. - lobby is not very inviting - 2 stars at best

For the price that we were paid, we were expecting a lovely hotel. The hotel was clean and smart but the staff and the rooms let the hotel down. I was kept waiting at reception to try to book in for at least 5 minutes until the young lady came off of the phone without even an acknowledgement. The rooms are very small and dark. Only just big enough to fit beds in with enough room to walk around. I also didn't like having to PAY to park in a Public car park overnight because there were no spaces at the hotel. Disappointed.

The hotel is in a great position although for anybody with problems walking, it is a bit of a hike back to the hotel if you walk down the hill to the town. The hotel has an agreement with a ski shop underneath the hotel where you can store your skis. A 100 mtr or so walk up the hill to the Ski Gondolas.

The rooms were like a sauna with the only way of reducing the heat was to open a patio door. The rooms are now old, dated and bashed from ski, boots and general wear and tear. The breakfast was appalling too the point where we considered walking into town to get a croissant from the Town. Such a shame as the staff are lovely. The fact is this hotel needs a make over SOON

The Bacon was anaemic and the scrambled eggs grey on one day. It was a real disappointment from when we stayed there two years ago. Refurbish please

Megève is an expensive resort therefore you don’t get as much for your money. The room was very traditional in its appearance with lots of wood panelling. It had an adjoining door with the next room which is great if you have to keep an eye on the kids, but this meant that the you could easily hear the people next door. Luckily they weren’t too noisy, but they didn’t have to be for it to disturb a light sleeper like myself. I didn’t ask for a room change, but maybe worth asking about when booking.

Great location next to one of the main ski lifts. Also ski and boot hire available next door with 15% discount for hotel guests. It’s a little way out of the centre, but the area was quiet at night. All the staff were very helpful and any problems, such as the room being made up as a double instead of a twin, were quickly resolved. The room was quite compact, but had good storage space. Good strong shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Great restaurant at reasonable prices.

The room was very small ( en-suite bathroom was more like a cupboard). The room lacked any facilities which one would expect of a ski resort hotel. No hooks or space dry damp ski kit. No drying room in the hotel (although the sauna did double as this while it was not in use.)

The location was good for skiing. Right adjacent to the Rochebrune lift. A little isolated form the main village. Staff were friendly and helpful and attempted to make up for the lack of room facilities. Good breakfast.

No soundproofing between rooms. Club with music playing till 4am. Room was tidied never cleaned. Beds very uncomfortable pillows horrid. Breakfast is average at best and highly repetitive. Food is horrid and overly priced with an 8 euro additional charge to have it in the room. Dull hotel, not the kind of place you want to spend anytime in after a ski. Pool table available but you need to pay. Location close to bunny slope and lift but a good walk into town. They claimed they had a shuttle but it was never there. Booking a basic room is not what they have in the photos, it's a lot lot smaller with a very tiny loo. There are much better three star hotels so shop around. This hotel should be no more than a hostel status, if like us you travel a lot you will expect more from a three star in Europe.

I was gladly surprised by the hotel and its staff. Classic rooms are perfect, very comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. In the room you have everything you need, a complete mini bar, a nice bath to relax after skiing, as many TV channels as you want and very good quality mattresses. Food and service at the restaurant was also very enjoyable. We were treated very nicely and everyone seemed to be at our disposal 24h 7/7. I highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant.

We were in a suite and were a bit disappointed that we didn't have a balcony, but after having said that we would hardly have had any time to sit on it.

Room was comfy and warm, bed very comfortable, with a good bathroom. The food was excellent as was the breakfast. There is a ski shop beside the hotel to hire equipment, and when you finish at the end of the day you store your skis and boots at the shop and the staff are always there to help you with that. The hotel is 50m from the slopes so not far to walk in ski boots which is always a plus for me. It's only a short stroll into Megeve to restaurants, bars and shops. Megeve is beautiful.

The pillows were very flat and lumpy, not good at all. Also the plug in our bedroom (412) didn't work. Tea and coffee in the rooms would have been nice, but I understand why you don't provide it.

The staff were very helpful and charming. Plenty of hot water.

Rather small room (but for what we needed more than adequate - No kettle, but minibar) Small bathroom - would do better with a shower rather than the cramped minibath and curtain.

Extensive breakfast, Location adjacent to ski lift and rental shops. Well appointed room. Enjoyed the walk into town.

There is no ski room you have to leave your skiss to the shop next to the hotel. İt is not that bad but the ski room would be much better. The rooms are small when you compare.

The hotel is very close to the pistes. İt is two minutes away the personal is very good. They are very eager to help you out on anything. Especially Munir and Coralie were the best. Munir suprised us and played Turkish songs it was amazing.I dont know what more they could do to help us on anything. We chosed half board but even when we didnt like any food she always sorted out somehow. Breakfast was really good. The hotel has a big lobby. There you can play billard. There is a free wifi through the hotel. Only at the cafe there is no signal.

May be the weather, but I ask them next time to do something about it!

My husband and I travel a fair bit and I am a rather picky customer, so we got a very pleasant surprise in the Royal Rochebrune Hotel. The staff was not only helpful, but efficient and courteous. Two good surprises : the bedrooms are roomy and not the usual boxrooms you get in ski resorts, not to mention the very comfortable beds. And then to the restaurant, we had taken half board, and again it was much better than expected, with three different choices for each course. When we talked to the people at the next table we regretted not having chosen the A la Carte which looked very appetising , with a lot of fresh products, and it was reasonably priced! So we know for next time, as we intend to come back every year, now we have found the perfect place for skiing in lovely surroundings. The hotel is tastefully decorated, homely and wonderfully situated. As someone who hates walking with skiing shoes , or taking the bus, a few steps from the lobby and you are in the cable car, on the slopes without any hassle. At the same time you are close to the city center. Could not do better

The rooms were too hot so we had to open the windows at night. In Junior suite one on the ground floor there were workmen outside from 8am in the mornings which was a bit disappointing but we were probably unlucky to arrive as these works were getting underway.

The breakfasts were very good and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel at the foot of the Rochebrune cable car is also excellent.

Staff, especially in the restaurant very good, friendly and helpful. Food varied, half board an economical choice Large double bed Hotel very near to the telecabine Being able to hire skis and leave them and our own boots overnight in the shop next to the telecabine Gentle 5 - 10 minute walk into very pretty Megeve. A visit or two or three :) to the delightful 'Salon du The' with a lovely patisserie is a must especially on a snowy day.

Size of rooms - they are a little tight. Bar closes early (11.30pm). Don't seem to get the little extras that you would normally find in a hotel charging this much. It is a rather basic offer.

Strangely low energy, and low staffed place. Almost felt like it was in the extreme off season and virtually closed. Absolutely no sense of community or shared social interaction (other than maybe at breakfasts). Maybe that's because most of their business comes from websites like this?!

in the bathroom only shampoo and solid soap(of two kinds) were provided. No other toiletries such as shower cap or body cream. also no pen and notebook and no food in the minibar. The room got quite stuffy and hot, so needed to be aired from time to time. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. As for the location - though superb skiing wise, relatively it was quite a walk (down/up the hill) to the city centre - 8-10 minutes, depends on your pace.if you want to live in the middle of everything consider other options.

the location was great since the ski rental shop and Rochebrune ski lift were just a stone throw from the hotel. The hotel itself was nice and clean, rooms warm and cosy. It was also very quiet and the beds were very comfortable.

Nothing to complain about. Although in ski season parking might well be a problem

The staff from our arrival through to departure were excellent. We understood the Royal is under new ownership, I assume Spanish owners and service is their top priority. Whilst we were the first guests of the season and the season yet to begin, not all facilities were up and running such as the bar. However the manager was happy enough to provide drinks in the lounge area, where in my experience many would not.
