It is a shame the hotel is not licensed so no bar or evening meals. At breakfast I would have preferred if the little dog had not gone round the tables on the scrounge.

Room was very modern and spacious - lovely shower area. The decor is very arty - definitely has a style of its own complete with a parrot! The interior courtyard was very welcoming.

Shame the bar was not operating or any drinks in the minibar in the room.

Lovely location, comfortable, clean, friendly and helpful staff in great eclectic surroundings. Picked up and returned to airport at great rate. This hotel should be rated higher than 2* - far nicer staying here than in a big chain hotel. And we loved the parrot! Thank you!

    None.

The room had a balcony overlooking the green area, with lots of resting chairs and hammock. Walking to the water was very easy. People were very friendly.

Room is not ideal for a family of 4 - it is a very tight space indeed. Sofa bed uncomfortable and the air con set up makes the balcony unbearably noisy and hot.

The building the hotel rooms are located in was awful. It smelled. It looked like something out of a 70s cop movie. It was dark and intimidating, and the outside needs a major update. I'm not much of a helicopter mom, but I wouldn't let my kids in the hallways alone. It's a residence for older people I think? Not sure, but it was not what the pictures look like at all. Also, the shower was a trickle and the bathroom sink was miniscule. The front desk was helpful, but they offer no beach amenities like umbrellas, as other nearby hotels do.

The room itself was charming, if a bit of a redo on top of old facilities. The beds were comfortable and the decorating was nice. It is very close to the beach and other amenities, and the nearby restaurants were tasty. The July 14th fireworks (Bastille Day) were absolutely wonderful -- although they didn't start until 11pm, so plan ahead for a late evening. The breakfast room was the best part -- bohemian and charming and the food was tasty. Good crepes! Parking available.

Not so many activities available in the area.

Friendly staff, nice rooms, the hotel is one-story, so everything is on the ground level, 50 meters from the beach. Good breakfast served on the terrace sets you up with the positive mood for a day. Parking is in front of the hotel entrance, very convenient.

Parking can be a problem if you have a large car. We have an SUV and had a hard time parking in the very narrow spaces. Every room has a guaranteed parking spot, but it works on a first come first served basis, so if you arrive in the evening, all the good spots will be taken and only the smallest and hardest to park in will be available. We took daytrips from the hotel, so we had this problem basically every evening.

Great location, the hotel is basically adjacent to the beach. Large room with large balcony, the hotel also has a great terrace where you can have breakfast or chill in a hammock or sun chair. The room furniture and the bathroom are a bit dated, but clean.

Tight parking at the hotel (but this applies to whole La Grande Motte)

Small, family run hotel with friendly staff. Nice french breakfast in the sunny patio gives a good start in the day.

Tiny (but only a tiny) bit pricey at 140Euros including car park. Breakfast was an additional 10Euros per head which we declined and went out instead on the promenade.

Location literally two minutes from sandy beach. Studio very well decorated and laid-out once you are inside (feels recently renovated in attractive style). Great for couple of nights.

15 night stay was too short, 30 nights would be better.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel and I highly recommend this accommodation to all travelers stopping in La Grande Motte. I initially chose the location and hotel because its proximity to the road system was ideal as we were planning numerous day trips to the east and west of Montpellier. I could not have made a better choice. Every detail of this hotel was perfect including the air conditioning (we are from Alaska) and we stayed for 15 nights. The Hotel's location to the beach, restaurants, boulangeries, and markets was outstanding. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The owner and her son are exceptionally nice and generous people who were always interested in our welfare and planned day trips. Gave us several suggestions for nearby site visits. Our stay here made the vacation to southern France a resounding success and we will be back in 2018. Hotel St Clair was a superb choice.

The bed was a bit too hard, there were a lot of mosquitos and no net on the windows. The room was with 3beds, which made it a bit small, although we had booked a 2-bed room.

Very cute hotel with nice decoration of the lobby and garden, very close to the beach. It was very clean, the sheets were changed every 2 days and towels every day. The bathroom was relatively large and clean.

I loved location, the funky design of the furniture, the attention to detail, the sunroom area was delightful Also the garden area, with the chairs all laid out & the hammock in the trees was very inviting, the hotel really encouraged you to relax & enjoy your surroundings. With the beach a two minute walk away also the lovely restraurant & shops just minutes away, fantastic parking for the car located on the premise was a bonus, plus the bed was very comfortable & the beautiful linen on the bed was a dream. This hotel really should be a 3 1/2 star. Jules from Australia
