The bathroom walls do not reach the ceiling completely so you can hear (and smell :D) everything that comes out of there in the main bedroom. When there is four of you, it can get pretty intense.

The location is amazing especially for the value of money! Even though it is located right in the centre the rooms are well protected from the noise. The staffy is really lovely as well (willing to print out your boarding passes and boil some water for you when you feel like having coffee as there are no kettles in the rooms :)

I absolutely loved staying in this hotel! The location could not be any better, it is very central and you can just walk or take a bike to visit the sights. I asked for a quiet room and it was no problem at all - the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Great value for money :-)

In the bathroom there was mould! The WLAN was working good, but I had to fill in username and password all the time which was annoying.

The staff was very nice, although the English communication was a little bit difficult. The breakfast was ok, the choice was not really big. The location of the hotel is really really good!

The breakfast could have been more diversified. The quality of the food was decent, considering the price (6 euros). I did not like the coffee, but it seems that it is hard to find good coffee anywhere in Nantes.

Excellent staff, always ready to help and quite efficient. The hotel is located in the pedestrian area, but extremely close to the Commerce station. The room was very clean and cosy. All in all a good quality-price ratio.

For its value, the value is a bit tight for 2 people, and the bathroom is well too optimized (it will not suit for tall people).

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, as it is in the city center of Nantes.

The creaky floors and being able to hear the intimate happenings in the next room! The three flights of stairs just to get to the reception.

The very nice staff especially the lady originally from Peru who speaks excellent English. The property is very well located to shops and a huge choice of restaurants. The tram system is fantastic and very close to the hotel. The exterior soundproofing is good and there is a good safe room to put your velo.OK

The room was dirty, with evidence of poor cleaning standards on window-sills, skirting boards and under the bed. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and mould on the bathroom (toilet/shower room) wall. The shower vent was on the internal wall allowing moisture to escape into the bedroom rather than to the exterior. The room was described as a ‘Comfort Double Room’. The bed was OK, with clean sheets, but nothing else was comfortable, nor clean. The ‘Socket near the bed’ was on the wall 1m from the foot of the bed, near the bathroom door. Not the ideal spot for leaving your mobile phone charging overnight. The room’s windows gave a view of a small, dirty, internal courtyard. The inability to check-in until 17:30 on a Sunday is poor service. The hotel is almost impossible to find whether or not using a sat-nav as most central streets in Nantes are closed to all traffic except buses, taxis, servicing and ‘hotel access’ and there is no signage to this hotel. Whilst the hotel advises that ‘Public parking is possible at a location nearby’ the three nearest car-parks are each around a quarter-mile hike away, rather too far for wheeling suitcases.

Dirty, damp smell, outdated and in desperate need of modernisation, a bit seedy. It's cheap for a reason. Mediocre breakfast. No shower door on the shower so Lino floor and rest of bathroom got soaked (not a wet room but soon became one!) - all a bit odd. Bit of investment and it could be stunning. No parking particularly near the hotel.

In my wife's opinion, it was fine. In my opinion, it was a bit shocking. But this is no one's fault but mine due to my expectations. Then again... The building is old, musty, and feels run-down. No lift, so going up four flights of stairs with a four-year old and luggage was not easy. We were given room 9. Door needs to be locked with key. No self-locking. Odd layout of room: first thing you see is the bathroom sink and beyond that, the toilet and shower area, with mould in the corners and broken wooden trimmings. Would hate to be on the toilet if someone needed to enter or exit the apartment. The door to the right leads to the bedroom area. Room, though big with tall windows, had ripped wallpaper and broken trimmings. You can also see the vent that leads directly from the bathroom. Nice. Needed to keep the window open during the night for some ventilation. Noisy at night, but that's to be expected, as our window looked out on the Rue d'Orleans.

It is in a really central location. The price was excellent. And the staff were really great.

Great receptionist. She helped us to change the room from 5th floor down to 3rd floor, because my partner has a problem with his feet so the 5th floor is a bit inconvenient when there is no elevator. There is a bathroom inside the room.

Not really any complains about our stay, just that the photos didn't match the room.

The other reviews are correct, lots of steps but we are able bodied and was fine. Super easy to check in, got room key and key for the front door so it felt safe. Location is perfect, can't get more central. Our room faced a shopping area and the front of the hotel faces restaurants. Very quiet at night, didn't need my earplugs. There was breakfast for an extra €5something but we got nicer food around the corner. The ensuit bathroom was nice and as there were 4 of us in 1 room with 2 double beds, there were 2 toilets outside so we didn't have to wait. For the price and location, can't complain.

Be warned: triple rooms are all up on the top floor (5 or 6, I think) with no air conditioning -- so the rooms and entire floor up there are quite hot in summer. Definitely not a high-end or charming room: yucky carpeting, no door on bathroom, strong smell of cleaning fluids till we opened window for a while. Then again, you get what you pay for. Also NOTE: reception is ONLY open from 16h30on, despite the options they give you on booking.com to arrive earlier, and despite the recording they leave on their phone. This can be tricky. We got lucky and were able to store our small luggage, safely, at a cafe till we could check in.

Amazingly great location. My children and I kept saying that if they spruced up the place, they could charge double, and if they renovated, they could charge 3-4x as much. Then again, if you're OK with a night spent in a place that is far from luxury (but is still clean and respectable -- nothing disgusting about it), this is the bargain of Nantes.
