Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo drink making facilities or kitchenette unless you are allowed use of communal kitchen where breakfast served. We didn't ask. But as called an apartment I expected at least a kettle, mugs and coffee & tea sachets. Be helpful if welcome message advised where to park especially with roadworks everywhere. We were lucky to be allowed access at 5pm. Waiting until 6pm is a bit late for us.
Friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Warm apartment. Very quiet. We had ground floor apartment so no need to carry suitcases up stairs. Good size rooms. Location good to walk to centre but roadworks meant driving to property impossible.

IrelandThe apartment is actually on a pedestrian street which I hadn't realised . I felt the ad was misleading as parking was advertised. Parking was only on street and we had bicycles with us so it made things awkward. The bike rack had to be disassembled etc. The breakfast was very basic maybe some fruit and pastries would add to the experience.
Very good location . Very quaint building . Niort is a lovely city with an amazing Saturday market . Well worth a visit .

Good value especially with breakfast included. Warmly greated by the owners on arrival and at breakfast. Easy walk to a lovely town with many restaurants to suit all and inexpensive secure parking a 5 minute walk away. Ideal for an overnight stopover.

FranceWe DID NOT stay as, although the room was clean, it was shabby and we felt uncomfortable. It is not an apartment but an en-suite bedroom. So we booked another hotel in Niort and luckily we got one at such short notice.

Australiawe were in agreement that this room was the worst accommodation we have ever paid for in 50 years of travel We have never before met such failures in basic housekeeping, nor such disdain for the requirement to provide the features advertised when we looked closer , after the night, we could see plenty of scores of 1,2, and 3 hiding below reasonable reviews : our experience was not uncommon, nor new. It would seem that there are several apartments here that people like well enough, and that this substandard room is hiding behind their reviews we booked an apartment with a seating area , wifi , and tv with cable channels we were shown to a room which had no door to the bathroom , a cabinet bearing a defunct hot plate falling off the wall , and a substandard bed with the cheapest possible linen the room smelt strongly musty: it had clearly been closed up for some time , and not been aired the bathroom towels had been put away damp They were still damp and had become slimy , with a dreadful rank smell the shower curtain was grey and purple with mould, and the shower mat was falling apart I don’t know what purpose was intended for the two bamboo poles standing in black buckets , held upright by rubble there was one chair with arms - was this meant to be the seating area for two? There was no wifi in the room as promised, and no cable available on the tv when I could not find the wifi code , I messaged madame- who curtly replied that the code was on the desk ( it was not ) and gave a number which did not work. The number did not work because she gave only half the code This seemed to capture exactly the management style here : only half of what was required I could go on : there were heaps more issues ( the checkin , the kitchen cleanliness, the noise ) but you can actually see all these if you look at other critical reviews. these issues have all been reported before , and remain I corrected
the shower had hot water our bikes felt safe in the courtyard the chaotic mixtures of odd furniture and fittings reminded us of student share houses, and stimulated an interesting reflection on the worst places we have ever stayed

We decided to travel to Niort the day before and stay the night there as I had an early morning appointment at the Préfecture. The Santa Giulia apartments are a five-minute walk away which was our main reason for choosing them. We couldn’t have made a better choice. Stephanie welcomed us warmly and was happy for us to check out later than 10 o’clock if necessary. We had a very good night’s sleep and a very good breakfast. We would stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the apartments.

United KingdomOur bed broke and the flat was not properly equipped for a family. The parking should not be considered as free parking. There is very little room to manoeuvre a car and few places so we ended up paying for public parking. The apartment could do with an update.
The location was great and the host was very nice and helpful.
