Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Check-in was a bit chaotic - no staff around for quite a while. Shame the bar wasn’t open in the evening.
Very close to the lake. Private parking. Nice room for breakfast. Very helpful travel advice from the staff when I left.

Although they had a highly sought after restaurant earlier, they have closed it now. The breakfast served in the morning is bread and jam, but no freshly prepared warm items.There are two other restaurants close by (10-15 min walk) but the options are limited.
The location is the obvious highlight of the hotel. It is at a stones throw from the lake, and stationed on the road, with a parking space available in front. There is a but stop at 3-min walking distance. Depending on the preferences, it can be seen as a silent location, still well connected. From some rooms, one can have a besutiful view of the lake the first thing in the morning.

Nice traditional small family owned and operated hotel with exceptional hospitality. The breakfast was delicious with beautiful home baked breads.

The only downside (not a big problem for us) was the lack of WIFI which was listed on booking.com
We appreciated the fact that it was a family run hotel. Madame was very pleasant and helpful, giving us advice on where to walk to see the wonderful views over Lac du bourget. The location was excellent: a very short walk from the lake, restaurants & village shops. We had a second floor room with lovely views across to the lake.

Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for dinner, however there were a few restaurants a short walk from the hotel.
The staff were delightful. The location near the lake good, although close to a busy road, the shutters/windows cut out most of the noise. 8 mins drive to Chambery Airport. The breakfast was simple but nice, with fresh bread fruit and croissants.

Excellent location in a small village. Roxane gave me a really warm greeting, and despite my late arrival, she waited for me. With such kindness, Catharine prepared me a delicious breakfast.

Very friendly personnel. Nice room with a view on the lake. The breakfast is (typically) French. The homemade confiture is a real treatment with their delicious flsvours. Maybe there would be a possibility to add some typical French cheese from the region. I would accept a bit higher price of the breakfast.

The staff is amazing. Rossana was very attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable and it was fresh despite not having air-con. The breakfast was amazing!! And the location of the hotel is very convenient as it's very close to the lake, restaurants, and there are many activities to do in the area.

Maybe an air conditioner in room makes the summer night more enjoyable
The hotel is very cosy, the bed is very comfortable, the whole property is super clean, specially room’s bathroom and shower were shining. The staffs are very kind, and polite. We were late for the breakfast as we asked to have breakfast at 9:00, we went down at 10:40, and they served us kindly.
