Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt was hot and no AC.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Comfortable apartment, clean, even clean windows. Fairly plain but all we needed, in a pleasant little town but a bit of a hike to the main bus stop (10 mins) if you have any mobility issues. Easy otherwise. Plenty of little businesses nearby in the village. Handy to CERN (10 mins on bus) and tram from there into Geneva. Can rent electric bikes from a stand nearby if you can use SMS to register.

CanadaSome of the furniture (table and chairs) was dated. Couch seems like it has seen many days.
Quiet community with lots of trees and birds. Gave the feeling of being an independent local. Had the best sleep in my life my first night. Love the steel darkening blinds.

The flat is conveniently located 15 min from Geneva airport by car. It was easy to find and very comfortable for a one-night as a family of four.

United StatesHonestly, for the price and convenient location, I have no major complaints. A few places they could improve for a 10/10 home away from home experience: Balconies could use a power wash, and since the clothes drying rack is stored outside it was a bit grubby and I had to rinse it off. Coffee maker had a bit of a funny smell even after running 1L of white vinegar through it and rinsing with water. These should probably be checked, cleaned, and replaced if needed. (I also should have just asked the front desk if they had a spare -- that's on me.) Wifi was occasionally slow (but usually serviceable even for video).
Great home base for a 2.5 week visit to CERN. Friendly and helpful staff! Comfortable bed, functional kitchenette, and I really enjoyed having the little balcony with a view to the Jura (and a drying rack for laundry). Covered parking was worth the surcharge for the convenience. For other travelers' reference, kitchen provides: electric hob with two "burners", large and small pots sufficient for cooking up to 500g of pasta, nonstick pan, new minifridge, cutting board, can opener, wine bottle opener, sponge, dish soap, a proper dishtowel (not to be underrated!), colander, serving bowls, standard cutlery/plates/mugs/bowls, a serrated knife (not very sharp, but that would be a lot to ask for an apart'hotel kitchenette) and a coffee maker and electric kettle. Travelers may wish to bring: salt, pepper/spices, cooking oil, paper towels/napkins, containers for leftovers, a better knife for ingredient prep, and of course your own coffee/tea.

United KingdomUnfortunately, when a problem occurs at the weekend, you have to sit it out until Monday as nobody will come out, even for an alarm ringing for 24 hours. Kitchen hardware is sparse and variable. I’ve stayed for a week twice, in different but identical apartments. One had no bowls, one had missing parts for the coffee filter, neither had any knives to prepare food with. I got by in each case, but would not have felt the same if I had been there for longer.
Very convenient for working at CERN, whether you have a vehicle or not. And at the same time a nice district to be in, with local cafes, restaurants and Charly’s Pub. The underground car park was very useful, with elevators almost straight to the apartment. Staff at front desk were very friendly and accommodating.

PolandA bit old-fashioned in the bathroom and the kitchenette. There should be a shower instead of the bath. Because of that, althougt the apartament was clean, it seemed neat.
The apartament is in the perfect location, close to Geneva and ski slopes. Great view from the big balcony. It is well equipped if you need a place for a short stay.

FranceThe apartment was decorated with old-fashioned furniture and the bed could have been a bit more comfortable.
Very easy to find in St Genis Pouilly, a few steps away to a delicious bakery. Lots of parking spots. Staff was very nice and helpful. And most importantly for us the apart hotel was just 18 min to/from the nearest ski resort.

United KingdomThis is not the fault of the hotel or staff, but late at night on two nights of my stay, someone was smoking in their room close to a vent that came up to my room on the 4th floor. It's not nice to smell that going off to sleep. The staff make clear this is a non smoking facility and their was a 200 euro fine, but they can;t be there in the middle of the night.
This is a good location close to the centre of St Genis and well served by bus routes. There are several food options within walking distance. These are older apartments, and I learned from a colleague that this used to be CERN staff accomodation, but the room was clean, and had everything I needed. the little balcony and external shutters were a nice touch.

ItalyThe flat was underneath the roof and quite hot (mid August). We opened all windows to get a bit of fresh air, but opening the roof windows is not for everybody. The cleaning was sufficient but not at a level to feel comfortable in. The kitchen is equipped with just enough.
The flat features two bedrooms and a spacious balcony. There's a microwave. Free parking available outside, with limited capacity, but we stayed three nights and we always found a free slot. Breakfast is good, if a bit expensive - with eggs, bread, some ham and cheese, jam, yoghurt, coffee and milk.
