How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The parking lot could be made a bit better-looking. Rooms are relatively spacious but a few shelves should be added.
Very good location, not far from town but with close, unpopulated small beaches. Nice staff, safe parking place.

Soundproofing. Some disturbance from neighbouring rooms.
Room for 4 with double and twin beds, simple decor, clean and a great view from the 2nd floor. Good pool, ideally situated for exploring Calvi.

The bathroom was separated into shower and toilet and the toilet was tiny, however not a massive problem for us.

The hotel is located quite close to the citadel and city centre. The room was simple, but spacious, with great air-con and nice sea view. The bathroom was maybe small but modern.

The toilet, dressroom and bathroom was a bit small, however sufficient for one night, however we were most of tome outside the hotel what was not a constraint for us
Pool and sea vue was extra, the room are clean ! the location was really close to the center easy to find. Car park was good for us as we rent a car, we had a good welcoming there, thanks

A minor issue: the toilet was located in a tiny room, away from the sink and shower.
Very good price/quality. great location, near the citadel, the pool was excellent and parking was not expensive. nice staff.

Wi Fi not working very well - had to almost stand outside the hotel, did not work in our room. Courtesy Tray would be nice Aircon was not working but we had been advised of this and decided to stay there anyway, but it was very hot!
Location, staff very helpful, pool looked nice but not used due to weather. Prompt replies from questions asked via email. Convenient location and good value

Slight odor of canalisation in the room, bathroom ventilation somewhat noisy.
Very good location in Calvi, spacious room with view over the sea and the Citadelle. Very friendly staff.

the bathroom (end of the corridor rooms) had a persistent bad smell from the sewer. We asked this to be fixed, but repair was not possible during our stay. Room was also a bit sparse, TV very small, furniture is a bit used but still functional. Otherwise room cleaning and overall cleanliness was flawless, thanks!
great and friendly staff, nice location, good breakfast, pool. Maybe take a room facing "the pool", it is potentially quieter and you still have a nice view on the top floors.

Wifi was non existent other than in the lobby. This was a massive let down for me. I took some exception with the staff blaming it on various things, when in fact, they just haven't spent the money to make it work properly... it is really that simple. The rooms were clean, but the quality of the finishes was poor... ie: Skirting boards coming away from the walls... bubbling paint... peeling paint... and YIKES!!: an electrical conduit running down the wall INSIDE my shower... this cannot be up to safety codes.
Staff was very kind and helpful. Great location. Great pool area with superb views. Quiet location...easy to walk into the town...

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Note - it is a 2 star hotel so we were not expecting all the amenities of a higher rated hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly, the room was a good size, very clean and excellent sea view and great morning breakfast. Great location - loved our 16 km hike to the lighthouse. I would definetly recommend this hotel.
