overall nice experience, we enjoyed the beach accessible from hotel, however avoid the standard room

Standard room didnt meet expectations in terms of room size. extremely small, also poor lighting (only few side lamps). No double glass windows. the standard rooms are overlooking the streets and you can hear every single car or truck or any noise from outside. One staff member at the terrasse was rude and didnt allow us to take towels to the beach although its mentioned in Booking.com. when we went to the beach we saw many other travellers with the hotel towels.

Proximity to the beach (beach front hotel) Most of staff members were really nice and helpful. Nice terasse and you can bring your breakfast there, nice view over the beach

Claustrophobic room with little if any ventilation. Bathroom & Toilet were like saunas ! Air con unit was filthy and obviously not been cleaned or serviced in a long time. Service at breakfast was poor, and quality of food not good either. Considering the cost of the rooms this was not a good hotel. Even the fact it is on the sea front does not save it. I will not be staying here again !

Good hotel, but not 4-star / not worth the price

    • Superior Room with Terrace and Panoramic Sea View
    • Stayed 4 nights

This property is not a 4-star hotel. It’s a simple two-story building that has been recently updated. The price they charge is not worth the amenities. For example, the gym is one small room with three machines - this is NOT the gym you would expect for a 4-star hotel. Separately, there are mosquitos every night, and the balcony doors don’t have screens, so you cannot use the balconies at night - unless you want to have dozens of mosquitos in your room. Because of that, there are dozens of dead mosquitos killed on the walls and the ceiling.

Nicely updated room, small hotel with easy access to pool and beach.

The room was not completely clean and found rubbish left from the previous people who stayed in the room. There are lots of things that need finishing touches or a revamp around the hotel as it felt very old. For example, there were unfinished parts in the bathroom and the wardrobes and safe smelt very damp. The hotel rooms are in a separate building and felt like student accommodation with a small and old lift. The location is not ideal. We were doing a lot of site seeing and the bus is definitely a good 15 mins walk away, with the station being around 20 mins.

The facilities were great, especially the pool/bar area and access to the beach which was right opposite the hotel! The breakfast was nice with good options. Sea View from room was nice.

We arrived early due to flight time being changed which we notified in advance still had to wait 4hours We requested twin beds the beds were 1doubleand 1 sofa bed this made no space in the small room We were told this was the only way the hotel could provide2 separate beds The music and bar are noisy till late evening

Breakfast good selection very fresh and many types of food . The modern make over is very attractive to the hotel The new addition to a roof terrace and restaurant along with sun beds has inproved thewhole layout The reception ladies were most helpful and friendly The precooked tax booked on booking .com from and too Nice Airport was most efficient.(expensive)

I really loved staying at the Mercure hotel. it is literally on the beach, and has a great terrace and view. The room I stayed in had a balcony facing the beach which truly great. the room was quite big and had plenty of sunlight. rooms were always cleaned to perfection upon my return from work. The staff at reception, and in general, were always smiling, friendly and helpful. they gave the feeling of a family run hotel, which I always appreciate. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options. Truly loved my stay and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thank you :)

The garage and its slots are very narrow for larger cars. The pool is very small with no shallower option for toddlers. Limited coverage (shade) on the deck. Too many mosquitos on site. Irregular cleaning hours of the room.

Although the breakfast was rather pricy and the choices are numbered, the quality of the food was very good.

There should be a full pension choice. Housekeeping staff should know English. Classic rooms (street view) are extremely noisy and the doors of the rooms shut so noisy and it is impossible to sleep.

All staff including receptionists, waiters and waitresses and cleaning staff are so friendly, helpfully and kind. Rooftop pool is so cool. The hotel is just near by the sea and the beach, it is a real plus and 10 minutes to restaurants street (you should never ever go to Santa Lucia restaurant), 5 minutes to one of the biggest supermarket Geant, 10 minutes to nearest bus station and 15 minutes to train station by foot.

Very pleasant hotel for a Cote d'Azure beach holiday and exploring towns along the coast.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Superior Room Terrace or Patio
    • Stayed 6 nights

Breakfast was quite chaotic with not enough tables and not enough staff replenishing food and drinks. The breakfast area adjoins reception and utilises tables with chairs, tables with armchairs and one high table with bar stools. Food and drink quality was good but we often had to wait for a table and for breakfast items to be replenished. 3 out of 6 days we ended up on bar stools. This made breakfast quite an ordeal and not something to look forward to. It wasn't helped by people who stay at their table long after finishing their breakfast. You can carry your breakfast up to the rooftop pool area but with all the breakfast items not being available at the same time, this would have involved multiple trips. The coastal train is said to run every 20 minutes or so. It didn't. It ran every 30 minutes, some of the time. On one occasion we had to 1 hour 30 minutes in the middle of the day. The last train back from Nice was at 9:30pm - very early if you plan an evening along the coast anywhere!

Right on the beach (pebbles) and close to other restaurants. 20 to 25 minute walk to train station with connections all along the coast. The hotel's private, secure underground car park just accross the road. Rooftop pool with views of the beach. Reasonable quality breakfast. Get the Oui.sncf app to book your train tickets. We found it much easier, more accurate and cheaper than buying tickets at stations. It also gives you up to date train times. You get a QR Code with each ticket booked to show on the train if you are asked. So you don't have to stop to buy or validate tickets. Don't miss the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild (you can drive right up to it and park there) and the Monte Carlo Casino (you can go in for cocktails in the bar - even if you're not gambling).

We didn’t have the best stay here beautiful pool area but was open to public and was over crowded, the first day we ordered some food but they ran out of the only options we wanted so had to go elsewhere, another night we went to get a table for dinner but they were fully booked with the public we also wanted to organise some laundry but told us they couldn’t do it and we had to do it in town. Also one out of the 4 nights we stayed there was no hot water left so I couldn’t wash my hair.

This is more of my fault but the location was not as close to Nice as I thought. Villeneuve-Loubet is a beautiful place but not as fast-paced as I would have liked. The beach was fantastic however there were not that many options in terms of evening restaurants or bars. I bought this holiday as a birthday present for my mum so she loved that it was quiet in the evenings. The location was not too far from the airport (the hotel offer to book a 50 euro taxi but uber was about 40 euros. No complaints about the hotel or the facilities!

The breakfast was fantastic value for money and provided a great start to the day! The hotel was recently renovated and some of the rooms were still being worked on during the day. The terrace and rooftop pool was super clean and modern! Finally the staff were really friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your stay.
