Food. One excellent dinner, followed by a disaster when 50% of the advertised dishes were off and the food subsequently served was of a very low standard.

    The spa

It was a pretty soulless place. The room was basic and not worth the money. The bath had a number of rust patches and all in all the room could do with an upgrade. The patio in front of our room was full of weeds.

The location was great as was the pool.

No proper bar or evening place to sit with a drink

The hotel is very calm and relaxing. It is approx 1km from the town square. The spa facilities are a lovely addition to the site and the hotel's outdoor pool is wonderful to have during the summer. The hotel has rental facilities on site for bikes, this is essential for Il de re. Probably the best thing about the island is that you can cycle to every town safely using cycle tracks. I would definitely frequent this hotel again as it was nicely situated adjoint to but not in the midst of the town, I relaxed in its calm environment and it was wonderfully clean- if a little dated.

There were to open bottles of wine in the fridge, we hope that the rest of the room was cleaned with more patience. I was denied to go the the swimming pool as my bathing trunks were to long. It's required to have short pants. For me this is not acceptable and never have had this problem somewere in the world before.

The employees are friendly and the Food was good.

Localisation, basically in the middle of nowhere, no attractions beside the super overpriced spa . The fact that you need to get changed in your room to go to the spa instead having access to a locker room is bizarre but than you have to remember that you are in France ....

Nothing special. Regular old style spa establishment

The apartment was on first floor and no balcony so felt a bit trapped when returned to accommodation. Sleeping was very difficult as it was so hot.. The swimming pool was very quiet but did not have a holiday feel about it. No food/drink/snacks and lacking in atmosphere. l

Having a self contained apartment which was quite well equipped.

Asked someone in the restaurant if he had a menu in English or if he could help us understand and he simply said no. So we ate outside the hotel instead. Also spa facilities opening times started too late and finished too early for us to use during our stay so we effectively couldn't use them

Reception staff were very helpful; hire bicycles available in the hotel which was great. Ars en re is really a lovely place if you like to potter about on bikes

The rooms are very 'tired'. The bathrooms are very small. The WC is in the bathroom which badly needs upgrading. Daily room service was minimal.

The personnel were very welcoming and helpful especially in the restaurant which is excellent.

The evening meal food was excellent when it eventually arrived. We and others waited an unbelievably long to receive a menu, a drink and ultimately the food. There appeared to be a shortage of printed menus and an absence of experienced front of house active management in the dining room.

Individual members of staff were attentive and helpful.

We were disappointed that there wasn't the option of sitting outside for either breakfast or dinner, photos had indicated this would be possible. Insufficient number of undamaged sun loungers by pool. Poor quality coffee at breakfast.

Proximity to Ars en Re and great opportunities for cycling. Very pleasant meals in the evening. Helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant.

Very tired looking hotel. The room was dirty, mould in the bathroom and around the bath. With a lovely view of the restaurants bins and the delivery bay, you can imagine the noise. The smell of chemicals like a hospital in all the hotel and in the room is terrible. Disorganized breakfast, what is going on? The worst part was the outdoor pool the bottom of the pool was green and the joints were full of red and black mould. The tiles were broken in and around the pool, making it dangerous for kids. Disgusting!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room and the bed was big The food at breakfast was nice.
