we reserved a room from booking, for which we paid online, when we went to the hotel, they asked us to pay in cash as it was a payment for the reservation and it would be returned to our account. We talked to the bank about this situation and they informed us that the money is blocked for 30 days. Still waiting for the money back.... The staff told us that this is normal in Paris

There was nothing in particular about my stay that I disliked. I did feel like the staff were a little uninterested, but... it's Paris! The hotel itself was clean, and well maintained, but the access to the rooms was somewhat cramped (I barely fit myself into the elevator), so probably not recomendad for anyone with a disability.

The hotel is what you'd expect for a 2 star hotel... More than adequate for a few days away, without being anything really special. However, the location is excellent, with a fantastic selection of restaurants very close by, and easy access to the main transportation networks in Paris.

Total nogo, but easy to change. The bathroom is small. Ok so far. But showering in a tiny place with a shower curtain touching the skin all the time is not appropriate. Pls invest little to upgrade the shower to glass wall. Besides we have located only one place to charge electricity.

The water in the shower doesn’t go out well so the water would spill over the toilet floor. And remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There’s also only one plug socket in the room which was a bit inconvenient but it’s really not a big deal.

Location is safe in 14th area which takes 20 to 30 minutes to get to central spots, given the price I think it’s valuable for what you get for a short stay, a decent size room with friendly staff. I asked if we could keep our luggage in the lobby after checkout and the staff was happy to do so.

The room was, as ever in the more modest of Paris hotels, compact. The main room light lacked a shade.

The room was fine with a view over the street. It was quiet and along the street there was a mixture of restaurants, many shops, some of which resembled a fresh food market, a real village feel. A pleasant walk to the RER line to Gare du Nord. I look forward to maybe staying there again if passing through Paris. The most comfortable matresses ever!!
