I would give this property a 10 except for two things. The room was not serviced properly for two nights: the bed was left unmade and one night the towels were in the same place I left them. Also, the breakfast tables were not properly bussed leaving little option for a clean table with napkins and place settings. I am not a stickler for having fresh sheets and towels every day, but having the room fluffed up while I’m out for the day is a nice thing. And clean breakfast tables should be the norm.

The bathroom door wouldn’t close it was too big for the frame. The one night we didn’t have hot water but it came back the next day. You can hear your neighbors quite easily, but it’s an old building not much you can do about it. The robes were so stiff, maybe needs replacing or fabric softener.

Perfect location that was central to everything, clean and comfortable, friendly staff. View from the room was incredible. I would highly recommend.

We stayed for three nights and were given a room on the fourth floor with a view of the street which was great. However, there was work going on in a room very close to ours resulting in us suffering loud drilling and banging. When we enquired about it they arranged for the work to start later, at 10am. We did appreciate that but it went on until late in the afternoon, so no peaceful rest after a long day out and about! The bathroom was very cramped.

The hotel was very elegant and in an excellent location. We didn't have breakfast.

Perfect location, right next to the Latin quarter, Luxembourg gardens and easy accessible metro station (Odeon). The area near the metro is a great vibe - wine bars, restaurants and little shops. Perfect spot! Very friendly staff and lovely room!

The breakfast to your room was poor. It was 12€ pp and it said fresh fruit when really we got a brown apple and a kiwi with nothing to cut it up even but a butter knife. It would have been perfect if a little fruit bowl was provided already cut up and fresh.

The location was fantastic and the view of the Eiffel Tower was extra special. The staff were helpful, the bed was comfy and the area of the hotel was amazing.

Daily cleaning wasn’t done well. The thrash can in the bathroom was broken and the staff didn’t give me a new bathrobe when they removed the one I used.

The city tax was excessively high, but that's the fault of the Olympics, not the hotel.

Hotel room is due for an upgrade. Bed was quite hard and the TV is a bit old. Not a smart TV so no Netflix, etc. nor can you cast to it.

The location is amazing! Just next to the Luxembourgh gardens and also the Notre Dame area, the Le Morais and Latin Quarter are all in walking distance.

My colleague stayed in a room on the inside of the hotel. View not at all appealing. Make sure to stay in a exterior room, or get a great deal for the other kind. No USA-style power outlets (but I asked before and planned ahead).

I loved the kindness and welcoming spirit of the staff, especially the front desk's, Camille. Help with luggage storage before formal check-in, and after checkout. The kitchen staff was awesome. I met one of the cleaning staff and she tolerated my poor French. The orange squeezer machine was fun. Freshly arranged food, and flaked chocolate and cinnamon to put on top of my hot chocolate. I actually liked the slow elevator. It added charm, but it did help me choose the stairs several times. Close to many transit options.

Noise travels within the hotel quite a bit though. Could clearly hear our neighbours talk and the guest next door kept slamming their door as the lock was not working. Mainly the guests fault though as they kept slamming the door instead of calling the reception asking them to fix it.

Location is great. Super easy walk to the metro station and lovely area with lots of shops and bistros. Although in a busy area it was fairly quiet and loved the view of the Eiffel tower from the 6th floor room. Noise travels within the hotel quite a bit though.
