How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewVery close to Train, Bus Station and Palace of Versailles. Supermarkets were close by also. Dedicated parking space and outside seating were a welcome bonus. The Square in Versailles recommended by our host offered a varied selection of cuisine which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed.

The pleasant atmosphere and Etienne’s kind and thoughtful hospitality made our stay very special. The apartment is tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything one might need – ideal for a relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the quiet location and all the little touches that show how much care and attention have gone into creating this lovely space. Etienne was a fantastic host – always responsive, helpful, and considerate, while giving us plenty of privacy. We felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and would gladly return any time. Thank you again for everything!

There’s no airconditioning, so when it’s very hot outside - it gets hot inside. But we opened the windows and closed the blinds so no mosquitos could enter.

Verified reviewThe apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Etienne provided a lot of helpful information about the local area, and he responded quickly to messages. The location is excellent, just a 2 minute walk to Versailles Chantiers station which has a frequent train service into Paris. Although it's close to the station it's very quiet, we could hardly hear the trains even with the windows open. It's a 15 minute walk to Versailles Chateau and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the town. We hope to stay again on our next trip.

Verified reviewLocated in a charming and well-kept condominium, the place felt both secure and welcoming. The apartment was beautifully maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Everything was within a short walking distance. The Château de Versailles was a 10/15min walk away. The owner Étienne and his son Jules were super friendly and helpful both before and during our stay.
We truly have no negatives to mention. It was a perfect stay, and we would absolutely return again!

Verified reviewBeautiful apartment just a short walk from the Palace of Versailles. The building is right next to the train station, so the location is very convenient whether you want to stay in the Versailles area or take a trip to Paris (which is only about 30 minutes away by train). The apartment is beautifully decorated with modern furniture. Jules was very kind and explained everything about the area and the apartment. Etienne stayed in touch with us throughout our stay and offered additional services in case we needed anything. They also left a helpful booklet with various information. There were three of us in the apartment, and it felt comfortable and cozy, just like home. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

Verified reviewI was really impressed with this new flat all Modern and in a very secure residential area, 2 minutes away from the train station. Private locked parking, all facilities in the flat and amazing hosts Isabelle and Etienne have been helpful and at the other end of the phone whenever we needed them. Their English better than our French so all fine.
