This hotel is rated as a 4 Stars and it should have to be reviewed because: - the inside pool was closed - indeed they had spa (only a part of the saunas worked) - hot tub was also closed - outside pool was empty and when they started to pump water it was very dirty (they didn't cleaned the pool) - there was a heavy smell of cigar smoke in the hotel

There were some good things during the stay that eased the missing things detailed below - the furniture in the room was fine - breakfast was good - the staff was very nice they helped us with all the information we needed

Room with very old furniture, noisy room neighbors, probably because of the very thin walls, a lot of dust in the room, on the floor, the shower was leaking all night, the pool was not working (maybe because is not the season for that), a lot of web spiders on the children's playground.

The sheets were clean, the staff was very helpful and kind, the location was good, free parking. Once again KUDOS for the staff !!

I think the hotel is understaffed. There was nobody at the sauna and almost nobody was around at breakfast. Also nobody was taking care of the lounge chairs around the pool. It could do with some tidying up outside.

When we arrived, the bathroom in our apartment and the mini bar were dirty; despite specific requests, they were never properly cleaned. There was a daily replacement of towels and toiletries but no cleaning of the apartment. The manager refused to talk to us, left the problem on the reception staff - who was mostly useless. The toilet next to the restaurant was constantly filthy, the breakfast cutlery was dirty, there are spider webs all over the restaurant and all the windows are dirty. Overall, everything seemed as if hygiene was the last thing on their mind.

They have a big nice pool, which can be a considerable advantage in Balchik. Also, the place is quiet.

Location is a bit far from the beach, so do your research before. (we knew upfront). We had to remind them multiple times we needed extra toiletries (3 persons, 5days stay). Coffee machine (available only during breakfast) was malfunctioning 4/5 days. In the afternoon, the personnel was bathing in the pool. No problem there, but the lady was swimming in her working clothes - no very hygienic for the rest of the paying guests.

Impressive at first sight: posh overall appearance, baroque style furniture (we had Deluxe Double room), a bottle of Chardonnay as welcome gift. They have an interior pool & SPA but under repair at the time of our stay; sauna was available. Child friendly: there is a child pool with a small slider, an outside playground with a swing, a playground next to the restaurant/ terrace. NB: the pool is clean (we read contrary reviews before), the child pool might have a leaf or two, but that due to the trees above it. The room was clean, towels changed in 2 days (as I recall), reception desk very friendly. Breakfast was average. A quiet beautiful area immediately next to Queen Mary's castle & the botanical garden, 2 supermarkets nearby and quite a few traditional restaurants.

After reading so many bad reviews i was expecting something much worst, but it's really good value for money. It is near the beach, palace and a lot of nice restaurants. The rooms even if they are oldish are clean and comfy.

it is not beach with sand near only a small corner for few towels. the beach is 2 km away .

Not so easy to find on Waze app, but this is not their fault. The WiFi coverage could be better.

Excellent breakfast. They have a small library in the lounge. Parking in the front of the hotel. Interior garden with swimming pool. They also have SPA. The kindness and politeness of the staff!

The pool was dirty. The food wasn't a good quality. During my stay of four nights, the coffee machine wants working two mornings in a row.

The wi-fi within the appartment had very limited range. By placing an extender the coverage improved at some places.

As regular guests, we enjoyed again wonderful stay in a spacious appartment in the hotel. Perfectly located among the nature, the hotel offers unique opportunity for quiet and fully relaxing experience, away from the busy touristic places. At the same time, the sea promenade, a beach and sightseeing places like the Botanical garden are within a walking distance. The well-maintained swimming pool makes the hot days cooler. Especially appreciated the kind and professional service of the ladies at the reception - Mihaela and Gabriela, as well as the rest of the staff. The breakfast is diverse and delicious. Highly recommended accommodation for your summer holiday!

Dirty rooms, dirty playground, the hotel kept on receiving people from outside the hotel to swim in the pool and the cleaning lady stole 100 lei from the room

The minibar was empty, not working and had a very bad odor. The furniture was old (used for a long time starting to fall apart), the bed sheets were too small in relation to the size of the mattress, a lot of burnt lightbulbs in the hallway (3rd floor). The general feeling was that the hotel lacked proper maintenance. If we were planning to stay more than a night, most definitely would have switched hotels.

AC was functioning and breakfast was half decent, except for the lack of freshly brewed coffee. I honestly cannot think of any other positive things about our stay. We didn't have the chance (per our choice) to use the spa facilities.

The breakfast was good and diversity on the table and, most important, we felt excellent after the breakfast so it was fresh food. The suits/apartments are big and the balcony is excellent.

Breakfast was very poor, no refills, and the restaurant was extremely dirty. Cups and glasses were stained and the floor was sticky. The personal was not enough, we saw only 4 persons to take care of whole services. The room cleaning service was not existent.

Close to the castel and gardens. The pool was ok.

Dirty, old, breakfast was awful, mold everywhere, cigarette butts all around the pool, dirty sheets and towels. I booked a 2+1 with extra baby crib and had to choose( even though my request was confirmed). Unless someone is paying you to stay there - AVOID this accommodation.
