The room was quite warm and didn’t have aircon or fan to cool down. One of the pillows had mud stains on unfortunately so just left it to one side.

It was close to where we wanted to visit and easy to walk into the centre. Parking was great at the hotel, really easy and helpful staff, who parked the car for you.

Suite was located at the far end of a very long corridor. Hotel looked a little dated. We booked for 3 adults yet amenities were only for two ( 2 bathrobes instead of 3, 2 cups, 2 teaspoons …) We also found the view disappointing ( would have though the views from the suite would have been to the castle ( opp to the hotel location) instead of the side street and the rooftops )

Would have preferred walk in shower but only available to accessible room. Not disabled but difficulty with getting in & out of baths. Needed tea tray re stocking, had to ask at reception. On remote, no menu as directed to order room service & telephone not answered

Would have liked twin, upgraded to double & single. Hot water immediate, shower good. Towels white & fluffy. Location perfect, breakfast including vegetarian very good choices.

Wish there was a bit more storage in the room, draws would have been great for non hanging items. We also had noisy people next to us, not the hotels fault at all but the rooms aren’t very sound proof so if you don’t have particular respectful people next door it can be a bit of an issue. But again, we didn’t say anything to the hotel (we didn’t want to pack everything and move when we spent most of the time out anyways) so I’m sure they would have moved us if we requested it as they were helpful the whole time.

Really close to everything in the area, lovely view of Clifford’s tower, the valet parking was excellent, helpful knowing that our car was safe. Staff were friendly, helped with anything we needed, breakfast was great with plenty of options for all. My fussy 10 year old loved the pancake machine and the bagels.

The location is great. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Especially like to thank the lady making the eggs she was brilliant. I was a single mum with two kids and they couldn’t do enough to help me out.

The room has a lot of furniture in it for its size which can make it difficult to walk around

On our trips to York we aways stay here due to the amazing location. The majority of sights and attractions are all within an easy 15 mins walking distance. The staff at the hotel are always welcoming and professional. The property is very clean.

The room was too warm, heating was off and the window open and we had both fans to keep cool to sleep well.

The room was lovely and clean, the bed was really comfy, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Will happily visit again.

Nothing - would definitely use again

Great location for accessing city tourist attractions, including the tourist hop on, hop off buses. They were happy to hold bags before and after checking in/out. Brilliant range of breakfast options. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds with the usual facilities expected eg tv, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, towels and ample toiletries in the bathroom.

Parking is expensive, and spaces are sparce, housekeeping didn't top up the water again on the second day of our stay, seem to find this alot, they want a good impression on the first day, then standards slip.

Location of the hotel was excellent, rooms were basic but had everything needed and were clean. Breakfast was excellent and even had plant-based sausages for vegetarians already out, which is very rare. Staff on check in were very smart and glad to gereet us.
