How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our room was located on the entrance side of the building so it was loud once all the bars closed and the patrons started meandering through the streets.
Location was very close to all major sites. Staff was very accomodating and overall facility was clean and comfortable. Also, we arrived in the morning before check-in, so the staff was very willing to hold our luggage while we went site seeing before check-in time.

No coffee machine in the room
Nicely located near Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navonna, Pantheon and Trastevere. Beautiful internal garden, rooftop terrace and very nice rooms.

Tea/ coffee making facilities in the room would be good.
Room was as requested quiet. Breakfast was definitely good Location was definitely excellent!! Had the weather allowed the 5th floor terrace would have been excellent too! I left important papers in my room, on checking out. Marcello Masi of the Front Desk followed up and ensured a courier could forward them to me in the UK. This was so much appreciated. Thank you!

We had a room at the front of the hotel and the lane infront was very noisy during the night with people coming to and from the Trastevere area. Reception acknowledged it was a problem and provided directions to a pharmacy where we could purchase ear plugs. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which would have been welcomed.
Staff were very attentive and the service was very good. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good with lovely coffee.

Internet was off for two days, neighbour's noisy which points to insulation of the hotel, would have liked the restaurant to be open in the evening

I thought everything was great. Maybe having an early check in option would be nice but staff gave me the room as soon as they were able and I was in the room by the official check-in time.
Breakfast was excellent with soy milk cappuccinos and multiple sources of protein and fiber. The location is great and allowed us to walk to many of the sites like the Roman Forum and Colosseum and use public transportation as needed. I used the laundry service and it was easy to use and not too expensive (10 euros for a pair of leggings to be done via normal laundry, not dry clean).

Our room didn't have tea making facilities, which would have been perfect.
The location is perfect for visiting the historic quarter as well as proximity to good restaurants. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and run by helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is good - altogether a pleasant place to stay and enjoy Rome

The twin rooms are a little small , not much room between the beds

Small and slightly dated bathroom, expensive bar, a bright green light in the bedroom that illuminated the room at night and hot rooms with no working air-conditioning.
Good location for tourist sights as well as access across the bridge to Trastevere. Friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast which fuelled us well for sight seeing. We had 3 rooms for family celebration, comments are common to all 3 rooms.

There's not much on the negative side. The 'TV' in the room was actually just a really small and dated monitor, but we didn't end up using it. That's a minor detail, though, because overall, our stay was great.
The location of the hotel was excellent, situated in a highly walkable area surrounded by a variety of shops, cafes a small supermarket and restaurants. It boasted good public transport connections, and the distance to the main attractions of Rome was ideal. The staff were very professional and kind. We were traveling with a 2.5-year-old toddler, and he enjoyed laughing and chatting with them. The breakfast was really good, offering an extensive schedule from 7 to 11 am. Additionally, the bathtub in the room was a great feature
