To be fair, it’s not a fancy hotel, but, it meets all your basic needs. The location is super good, especially for you wang to take the train or bus going to Taormina or Siracusa for the day trip.

Classic style hotel close to Catania Centrale station. Best option for train travellers with a view on the tracks and the sea from the balconny. Nice breakfast on a terrace.

Character Bed and Breakfast Hotel - No Bar or Restaurant
    • Leisure trip

    • Double Room

In contrast with the public parts of the hotel, the rooms are a little disappointing. In ours the minibar did not keep drinks cold and the room thermostat did not work properly. The bed was comfortable though. The breakfast bar was OK, although the hot food was not hot, and the regular coffee from a flask was luke-warm at best. That said, the staff were happy to serve specialist coffee from the machine. But the one disappointment was there was not a bar (or restaurant). The local area does not offer much in the way of quality food and drink, and it would have been nice to relax in the central courtyard over a glass of wine and maybe some light food at the end of the day.

This is a character Bed and Breakfast hotel with some wonderful features, including a lovely entrance hall, richly decorated hallways, and a number of secluded interior courtyards. There is also a small private garage for guest parking (extra charge) just down the street, which is helpful, as although parking is allowed and free in the street, it is very narrow, and local drivers are not always careful. Staff friendly and helpful.

Perfect location in the city center.

Hmmm not sure if management is trying to keep an old-style hotel but it needs upgrade. The hallway was sooo dark, the lights were not on all the time. I was there for 3 nights and each time I return to the hotel my key did not work which was annoying, I had to go back to the front desk at least 2 times a day.

Location is perfect, breakfast item was not the best but it will do, the room was tiny but comfortable enough for 1 person. The bed needs some upgrade, I did not have a comfortable blanket but had to actually use the bed cover. The one thing I really liked were the access to the patio outside the room and by the dining area. That's awesome and very cozy and private. There were enough seats available.

The area is very close to the bus and train station. This is not something the hotel could do, but the block is really dirty.

The hotel is really nice with large rooms and very baroque decor. The terasse is wonderful and a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast or morning coffee. Breakfast was ok, not many options, but tasty food. There is a good Italian home made food restaurant nearby, 3 Musketeers.

The hotel had easy access to airport and was able to arrange transfer at a time after mid-night from a late flight. The staff provided easy directions to bus to airport for car pick-up and then had onsite parking that was secured and monitored.

A good hotel in a really convenient location in terms of transport and sightseeing.

The food provided for breakfast was okay, but the coffee was really dreadful - cold and bitter. Given that the hotel is in Italy, you become accustomed to a higher standard than that.

The hotel was close to the bus station and the railway station and so it was easy to get there and convenient for the Alibus going to the airport. However the nearest bus stop, which is just around the corner, is often blocked by parked cars, so the best place to catch your Alibus is from the bus stop right in front of the train station.

-There is no vent in the bathroom, thus at some point it started to smell funny and that smell gets into the room -The small shower bath inclosure was leaking water into the bathroom -The beds were very small

The area is really dirty and seems creepy.

The hotel is a surprising place once you are inside. Rooms are charming - the suite, at least - and the terrasses, breakfast, decor are very picturesque. It's also incredibly quiet, considering the vicinity of the train station & bus terminal. Good overall experience. There is a good restaurant nearby - I Moschetieri, so, for late travellers, there's a safe dinner option within 4 minutes' walk.

Bedding and towels have very strong flower smell from their washing that iŕritated my sensitive nose and skin = a less scented wash powder would be nice

Clean rooms with italianate decoration 24 hour check-in if arriving late Good location very close to train and bus station but most rooms off main street so still quiet Fantastic breakfast = staff make coffee from machine behind bar on request

Booked a twin several months in advance but they managed to screw that up. Since a good night's sleep was essential before early flight, not happy. Compensated with later checkout for 2nd guest. Breakfast typical, processed food. Were there some hardboiled cold eggs?? Great coffee tho, it is Italy.

Very practical as to (airport) buses and train connections. Otherwise a bit on the outskirts of historical center, but walking distance. Lovely room and bathroom, quiet. Great terrace for breakfast and quiet reading/apertivo.

We had to book 2 rooms (1 single and 1 with 3 beds) since we were 4 people but upon arrival we found that the single room was in fact double which was quite confusing and not mentioned anywhere. Our key card wasn't working properly as well, so we had to go to the reception every day to get a new one.

The hotel is really beautiful and the location is perfect if you prefer to be close to the train station, however the neighbourhood itself is not great and I wouldn't go for a walk alone. The staff was super helpful and the breakfast was also pretty decent.

The location was disappointing because the surrounding streets were trashed out and the sidewalks uneven with potholes. Limited food outlets around. Street parking somewhat available but narrow streets made it difficult so your car would perch half on the tiny sidewalk. Neighborhood had a dingy feeling.

Room was comfortable with adequate amenities for an old establishment. The breakfast was very nice with good cappuccino, fresh fruits etc and taken on an internal courtyard. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
