We didn’t get our passports back after checking in and it took us two days to realise. Our fault I know but it sent us into a panic and when asking they were on the reception desk. Would have appreciated a call or note that they had them. Considering we visited the desk a few times during the stay no one mentioned it.

Comfortable stay with very helpful and friendly staff. In hotel zone by Lido, bus 1 and 2 run into Funchal Centre (10mins) frequently.

This was our second time here. We liked the location of the hotel, the services, the delicious breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful when I asked for change of room (before lower floor with street view). If you have a chance ask for a room on a higher floor with sea view. We had this large apartment during our first stay and it was amazing.

Everything in the hotel was good. Only problem was the bus transfer to Funchal (a bus company problem). We stayed just before Christmas, and the busses were not very frequent and sometimes passed by because of overcrowding.

Nice location just a few minutes walk from the Lido swimming area (there is a free area and also a natural swimming pool where you have to pay 5 Euro or so). The hotel also has a good swimming pool with plenty of reclining chairs to rest. Breakfast was included and ok, nothing special. Parking is available. Rooms and hotel facilities were all clean.

On the 1st of January they expanded breakfast time until noon but at 11:30 there was almost nothing left. The rooms aren’t sound proofed, you could hear babies cry or people playing music. The parking space is small and was always full. On the street was also very difficult to find a parking spot.

Shower did not drain well. Late afternoon cleaning of room and bathroom. Cleaning not properly. No kettle in room to make coffee or tea. If you want real coffee at breakfast, you have to pay extra. The room has a safe, but you have to pay extra to use it!

The pictures advertised when I booked the room were not the same as the room we stayed in. The room was good but a little tired and didn't look anything like the pictures on booking.com.

The staff are brilliant and friendly! The pool is lovely and the nice touch of poolside towels. The breakfast was superb and the views from the balcony were fantastic. I thought it was brilliant value for money.

It was a little tired around the edges but we didn’t mind. Also some traffic noise.

Location excellent for restaurants, supermarket and buses to main old town but there was some traffic noise as we were right above the street. It is a small one way street but might annoy some people. Self-catering facilities very welcome
