The hotel is rather small, as well as the room itself. The room was rather clean . The bed was small but manageable. The shower was very clean and room was cleaned daily , with new towels provided. The location is great- 2 min away from Paddington underground station with good connection to all the main attractions. All in all it was a pleasant experience

Where to begin lol ;-) The size of the room, the price of the room and the broken window!

This hotel is ok for a one night stay. The room was small and very basic. It definitely wasn't worth £130 a night! The thing I found the most outrageous was making me pay £60 deposit for the room on arrival! The handle was broken on the window, so you couldn't shut it and there was a stain on the carpet! I told them this so as not to get my deposit taken off me. You'd expect to pay a deposit staying in The Ritz perhaps, but not a place like this, a total joke!!!

Some people may not like the small room, but it is fine if you are using it as a base for getting around. I'd challenge people to get a bigger room at the same price anywhere this central in London!

Location is exceptional, straight across the road from Paddington Station. I booked a single room, and for London, this was great - yes the room was small, but it had a window, tv, good shower, and was exceptionally clean, at a reasonable price for the area.

Very hard to find. The signage does NOT say 9a Craven Road bot Hotel Ascot!! Tailor made for frustrating confusion. Reception did not seem to think that was a problem . Go figure.

Receptionist could have been friendlier and directly below my room at night two guys chatted constantly. Not sure if it was the night team.

1. The hotel is named something else (not "9A") making it difficult to find! 2. They insisted on ID, even though the room was pre-paid for, and I could show the confirmatory e-mail on my phone! 3. No signs in 3rd floor lobby to the No 700+ rooms. Otherwise OK.

The location is perfect to get around the city as the tube is close by. Couple of good pubs just down the road too
