Rooms a bit small, bathroom also small and nowhere really to put toiletries apart from narrow glass shelf above sink. Took ages for water to get hot but was good when it arrived. TV was small and up on the wall in the corner - ok if in the bed nearest to it but could hardly see if in the other one. Whole place needs upgrading - window in bathroom didn't fit well so there was a draught and noise from road - carpets were stained.

Read other reviews so wasn't expecting a lot, however, beds were ok (pillows a bit hard), use of a large kitchen and fridge (good for keeping milk and drinks cold). Only saw 1 staff member but she was really friendly and helpful and did her best with cleaning but was limited due to what she had to work with - I was happy with the cleanliness of the bathroom etc There were exercise machines in the cafeteria for clientele to use.

Hopefully things will pick up soon after the covid closures and maybe they could consider offering a cooked breakfast.

We just wanted a safe place to put our heads down for the night, it was super value for money. Not exactly four star and probably could do with some work soon, but the receptionist was cheerful, welcoming and friendly. Facilities were okay, there was cereals and toast and hot drinks for guests to make.

Tatty outside, almost looks derelict, which doesn't give a good first impression. The shower head in my room was badly blocked and there was no shower curtain.

It was next to the train line but there were no trains in the night so it wasn't a big problem.

Definitely exceed our expectations and can't really fault the place. We arrived on foot and were a little concerned about getting an evening meal but there were a couple of companies who did delivery and the communal kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery etc. Also, the garage 200 metres away sold most things, including beer/wine and Superglue for my friend's broken boot. There's also a free pool table in the hotel so quite a pleasant night. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and a modest breakfast of toast and cerial was supplied. Definitely value for money.

Room 28 of Reading West could not be locked! Room 3 had insufficient toilet roll. The member of staff on reception yawned throughout our check in, at 20 15 on 29/08/21.

A soap dispenser and yet no soap in it…I should have checked it before check-in closed.

Easy to access at any time once you had checked in. The room was not at all cramped. Tea and coffee available in the room, as well as a tv. Non-cluttered layout and easy signage to where your room was. Nice outlook from the window.

Upon arrival struggled to gain access to the property. Bar was shut and has been for a long time (yet still on pics) Kitchen is an industrial kitchen that is quite unclean for shared kitchen standards and still has all industrial cooking kit in there (Covered with blankets) Communal areas smelt and were not clean First room door wouldn’t open all the way as auto close fouled the wall. Bathroom double glazed window had the interior glass broken looks like it had been for a while still had sharp glass in bottom corners. Electric Shower was broken element had gone. Bathroom and Room generally dirty. Extremely dated with old small flat screen tv that remote doesn’t work well on and was filthy Overall wouldn’t recommend As for the second room most is covered above The female member of staff on the desk requires customer service training

The room was in desperate need of updating holes in the walls and you can see where they had taken fittings off wall and not even attempt to put right. Light fitting in bathroom hanging off, When you flushed the toilet it was no noisy filling back up and took around 15 minutes to do so, so no one could use it straight after you,and kept you awake while filling, When you put the kettle on it would turn off as if it had boiled but kept on boiling so had to turn off at plug, pillows rock hard too the point you got neck and Headache and bugs in the room . In the bathroom pulled a cord thinking it was the light and the shower came on.

When we arrived, when entering the room, there was a half smoked cigarette on the windowsill, given that both of us that were in that room didn't smoke, it wasnt nice to have there. In the morning, I woke up very early for work, I had the light on, and put the kettle on. That blew the fuse, and I had to get dressed and ready for work in the dark. Not good when it was still dark outside.

On average during our stay temperature outside was around 22 degree in daytime and 16 degree nightime - despite this - heating was on all the time and there was no possibility to switch off. No plates poor cutlery and dirty half-pint glass for a beer with sticky fingerprints on it - sounds fantastic? Imagine two ancient and rusty forks with long lock of hair between them. Disgusting. Mould visible on walls, bad smell after entering the building will be your friend for all of your stay. Nobody in a reception at any time of day or night - impossible o report any issues, Leaking shower cabin - water everywhere and if wanting to take a shower after 11pm - be prepared for cald water only. It was last time when we decided to save a little bit of money on accomodation price because all expenses - starting from pan, glasses, forks and clean plates we had to buy on ourselves in nearest asda Two bulbs was bright enough for a moth but not for people.

Car park was alright - probably for a reason that everybody aivoid accomodating there - it was always nearly empty, also located with good connection to motorways
