Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly a small pot of stoats oats on offer for breakfast in the room. Which is unacceptable not to be able to have at least a Continental breakfast and some decent coffee/ tea. Stoats have a milk product which is not suitable for intolerance and vegan. We were advised to go to the nearby garden center 1.4 Miles away, we have no transportation so that wasn't an option. A different thickness of pillow would be an advantage
Staff friendly, clean , comfortable

United KingdomI found it very light overnight. The blind and curtains weren't thick enough. I don't like two single beds with a mattress topper as it's too easy to lie across the gap and get a sore back Would have liked real coffee in the morning too
Rooms were large and a lovely bathroom. Access was easy Plenty of parking I liked the hanging rail for clothes. It was great being in a pub, as it meant real coffee was available in the evening

MaltaThe only minor issue was a whistling noise when turning on the warm water in the bathroom—likely something that could be fixed with a bit of plumbing work. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Had a great experience at the Allangrange Hotel. Although the rooms are a bit small, they’re very clean and tastefully decorated. The restaurant downstairs is a highlight—serving delicious traditional Scottish food in a cozy, warm Scottish atmosphere. Overall, great value for money and a lovely stay!

United KingdomThe room was a little bit on the hot side for us but that could have been due to the weather.
The staff were amazing and recognized us from our last stay. They were all lovely! They told us of nice places to go for breakfast the next day. The evening meal was fantastic but portions are large so if you want dessert don't have a starter :) The room had a lovely comfy bed and an ensuite shower, tea and coffee facilities and even a carton porridge to make up for breakfast the next day! The location was brilliant for our needs close to the airport.

United KingdomLoved our stay , it was a shame that the restaurant was closed on the two days we were staying , as it looked lovely and the menu looked great….instead we we had fish and chips by the sea near Fortrose after dolphin watching ! We would come back again but make sure it was on days the restaurant was open
The hotel was a great location for our trip to the Black Isle , the room was lovely and very well equipped

NetherlandsIt's a bit of a pity that breakfast isn't included, especially considering the price. However, for a nice breakfast by the sea, White Cottage in North Kessock is a great nearby option.
Friendly staff who walk you to your room and explain a few things. Pleasant, bright room with windows that can be opened. Modern bathroom with shampoo and other toiletries, and a comfortable bed. The bar and restaurant offer drinks and diner (do check the opening hours!). Cozy atmosphere, food ranging from decent to good, and live piano music. You can park on the private parking lot next to the building.
