Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomGreat dog friendly place with small enclosed garden with outdoor seating. Near to local restaurants and a 5 min drive into Barmouth. Comfy beds and sofa. Amazing view of the sea and sunset. WiFi was a godsend as local mobile signal very hit and miss.

United KingdomThe garden sea views are to die for! The hut is very cosy and thoughtfully arranged and has everything needed for a comfortable stay and there was no better spot in Barmouth than relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine watching the sun go down, we will definitely be back! Our puppy loved the secure garden too.

United KingdomThere is not enough storage for belongings, a small bathroom, which is difficult to access the sink due to it being above the toilet. It's hard to park due to being on a narrow lane, especially with a bigger car. Also, I could do with instructions on how to use a radiator.
Stayed with my partner and our son , who is only 8 weeks old, a lovely location with beautiful views. Nice place to stay. very comfortable slept very well! Also it is a lovely private location, with little noise from the road. Good location for you be able to walking barmouth takes about 40 mins. Also, a train station is literally on your doorstep! Very clean place to stay and also has toiletrees and basic food already provided, which was nice, definitely recommended.

United KingdomIt’s not a dislike just a hook in the shower for a towel/ clothes other than that it’s faultless..
Absolutely perfect for us and our little fur babies! Beautiful sea views and location is central to the majority of North Wales! Enclosed garden for dogs peaceful and relaxing. The beds are so comfortable and the companion seat was so nice that I’ve ordered one!

United KingdomThere may be an issue for non dog owners due to dog hairs on sofa, our dog doesn't moult so something we were not used to - but the property is dog friendly. Sofa and mattress could do with upgrading. We would love to stay again though as we enjoyed our stay.
The location was ideal for exploring the local sights. The view was spectacular. The garden was great for chilling outside and safe for the dog.

United KingdomNothing to not like whatsoever
This was a perfect getaway for myself my wife and our two dachshunds. I’ve read one comment saying access to property is through several gates this is untrue you go through one gate yes through the owners property then through a gate leading to your accommodation which is your gate. The property is small which is why it’s called the hut but plenty of room and the space is utilised perfectly. The accommodation is spotless the hosts were incredibly friendly and your outlook is stunning.

Lithuaniathis is more of my problem... I would rather sleep in a bed without another bed above it, because I'm a bit claustrophobic, the pillows were uncomfortable and too high, and the bedding material was unpleasant. But the view from the windows and the coziness compensate for everything... :)
very cute shepherd's hut with a fantastic fabulous view and everything you need in it. I would like to stay here for the rest of my life :)

United KingdomThe bathroom basin is a water saving one above the toilet cistern. Makes it hard brushing your teeth and using the mirror as no shelves so balance everything and lean over the toilet seat. Road noise was quite loud with the windows/doors open.
Great location, private, 30mins walk to sea front/promenade. Well equipped.
