Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We liked it all.
The location was amazing, we had lovely walks. The guest house was perfect, homely, and breakfast was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay, I would recommend it. The couple who own the guesthouse are lovely and so helpful. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back to arkleside guest house again.

Double bed low and very soft mattress. I ended up with a bad back in the last day of 3. No where to hang a dressing gown in the bathroom, when showering.
Breakfast was lovely, quiet location and yet 1 min walking distance from the centre of Reeth. Well kitted out and high quality fixtures, fittings and equipment.

Small step up into the kitchen area. Caught us both out a couple of times..but not really a complaint..
Apartment / Anex, was clean well equipped and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location, a stones throw from centre of the village, with easy access to the dales with walking to suit all standards ie hills or flat walk beside the river swale.. Had breakfast with them on the Sunday morning which was very nice and good value for money ( £12.00 ) Would definitely stay here again...!!

The mattress in the room wasn't overly comfortable but was OK. There was a boiler vent just outside the window which let some fumes into the room with the window open.
Terry and Hannah were excellent hosts and served a great breakfast. The guesthouse is in a lovely quiet location in the village with well eqiupped rooms and bathroom.

Not much to be honest, I would have preferred a bit more space around the bed for easy luggage storage and movement, but then the big was very big and you can't have it all!

Couldn't fault it.
Hannah and Terry are the best hosts. The whole vibe of the guesthouse is super cosy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is superb. The village of Reeth is lovely, we'd absolutely stay there again.

Very minor - not much space to hang/dry things after wet walks. No hashbrowns at breakfast.
Amazing location, incredible hosts, tasty breakfast. Felt like home from home would return and recommend highly.

Well appointed friendly family guest house. Hannah could not have been more welcoming or helpfull. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Room 2 which we stayed in had a a kitchen dinner and the views across the dales a mountains were awe inspiring

It was all excellent!
Fantastic location, lovely and super friendly hosts, delicious breakfast, stunning views from the windows, all the things that were needed were in place. A great touch was the collection of guidebooks, maps and photo albums from the area. Of course the parking although narrow but was always available! We absolutely loved our stay in Reeth - will be back!☺️

The location was ideal, right in the middle of Reeth, close to all amenities. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was clean. Our hosts, Terry and Hannah were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. The breakfast room had a lovely calming atmosphere and the food was cooked to order and was delicious.
