Our breakfast on the Sunday morning never turned up despite my partner heading to reception and saying it hadn’t arrived. We were told to head back up to the room and that it would be with us shortly - it never turned up. We went to the airport starving. Also breakfast from the Saturday morning was collected but then placed on a table outside our room and left there all day & evening and wasn’t removed until the Sunday morning. The smell of the cooked breakfast plates wasn’t pleasant when we arrived back to our room at 2am from the wedding.

The views from the room was lovely. Our room was cosy & clean other than some stains around bottom of the toilet which was a bit yucky.

Service in the hotel restaurant was slow (but we weren't in a hurry) and the bill wasn't correct. However, they apologised and it was amended without a fuss or question.

The breakfast was superb. Really enjoyed it and the staff were exceptionally helpful. No problem asking for oat milk and generous when I asked if I could take some redbush tea for my room. We also enjoyed 1 night at the, more chilled Brasserie.

Unfortunately I was very unwell so couldn’t make the most of our stay being unable to attend breakfast and make use of the Country Club facilities so can’t comment too much but will be certainly coming back to explore further.

Didn't know we were only getting 2 course in room rate, also surcharges on breakfast unless you had the full English or vegetarian full English. Paid £50 to upgrade to park view and was on a corner with a view of the back of the building and a back courtyard

Hotel and services available is 5 star level. Recently renovated rooms, excellent spa and gym alongside the hotel grounds to walk around. Some great staff including Elaine who worked in the lounge area

unfortunately room was very cold as one radiator was not working & bed mattress ( springs gone on one side, my side ! ) but Manageress at check out dealt with it superbly & offered us a reduction back very professional & a lovely gesture thank you.

Lovely place to stay, staff very good, lovely dinner & breakfast, had a lovely spa, stunning building & gardens very magical all lit up. highly recommended place to stay.

Quirky, spacious , great location for 100 acre wood/ Ashdown forest,Hever, Chartwell etc . Great pool .Given an upgraded room. Lovely professionally trained staff.

Golf course was so wet it was unplayable, terrible.

Main Restaurant was closed so ate out. Breakfast was very good. Gym good, staff friendly, bed very comfortable, nice room.

The swimming pool area in the country club could do with more furniture around it as when it was busy there was not really anywhere to sit or place towels.

The room was clean, spacious, warm and the bed was very comfortable and there was enough plug sockets and close enough to the bed for charging mobile phones. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and all the amenities and utilities required.

The shower was very difficult to control with regard to the temperature as it fluctuated between very hot and then very cold.

The breakfast was lovely and fresh, we liked that you could order exactly what you wanted, staff were very friendly & helpful on all fronts. Room was ideal, spacious, not too hot or too cold, the bed was comfy too.

The shower gel had run out in the room when we removed but this was replenished promptly when requested.

Very attentive and thoughtful staff. I forgot to book a downstairs room for my 88 year old mother previous to arriving. The Reception manager highlighted the issue and resolved it with no fuss. We even got upgraded. Could not ask for more.

We had a deluxe room,. which was very nice, but our mattress was far too soft, for our liking. For the price of the room they could do with updating them. The prices for the drinks were very expensive too.

Beautiful setting staff very friendly. The spa was ok but unfortunately it only had a pool and a jacuzzi, we were hoping for a Steam room and Sauna. I should have done my research more.

I tend to follow the review rating, maybe too much , this was showing a 7.9 when i booked . But was high 8s in my opinion . It's a lovely location and hotel . Staff were outstanding .

Not a bad thing at all, but if you’re placed on the second floor and are staying for a few nights or have a few bags of luggage, be prepared for the walk! Although a very friendly concierge service is available. Breakfast although great, we reached an extremely busy morning and staff forgot about our tea and coffee. But despite this, couldn’t fault it at all.

The hotel was amazing, upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of space to park the car and facilities on offer at the hotel such as swimming pool, spa and sports like tennis and golf. The room was stunning, we had everything we could need including coffee making machine, kettle and a TV. Bathroom was clean and included Molton Brown washing products. The outside walks and views are something else, the hotel grounds provide a nice place to sit for a drink in the evening or coffee in the morning. Breakfast was included in our price and worth the money.

Working toilet, if didn’t flush properly. Correct meals being delivered, wrong meal delivered in restaurant. Tea ordered, coffee arrived at breakfast..
