Gorgeous setting with lovely expansive gardens. Excellent parking. Nicely furnished rooms with lovely outlook. Spa bath! Included breakfast was excellent plus we had an evening meal and it was 4 star!! Creative and delicious. Even though the chef was also catering for a wedding being held there at the same time. Our hats off to all the staff.

No normal Tv, took us a hour to connect to ITVX, after long day traveling you just want to put TV on then watch .

A lovely period Manor House with all the relevant features. Receptionist very friendly and rushed our rooms through as we arrived early. We were able to sit and work in the lounge, purchased a lovely light lunch and had tea and coffee. Rooms were great, bed comfortable then a delicious fresh cooked breakfast.

the breakfast was perfect, great buffet with plenty of choice and excellent poached eggs. the service was brilliant very bright and friendly The location is excellent a short walk or journey into Darwen center, where you find great pubs and other facilities.

Astley Bank is a lovely old hotel in beautiful grounds. We have stayed before and were not disappointed - very nice room, clean and comfortable. Staff are all very nice - great breakfast with good choice of hot and cold options. We will see you again!

The tv didn’t work in the room when watching BBC iplayer, picture kept buffering. Told receptionist on check out but she replied she wasn’t very technical!

Setting was nice apart from the continual rain. Hotel staff were very obliging and polite. Breakfast was very good value. Bill, Margaret and the bar staff were very friendly.

Basic tea and coffee in the room. Buffet breakfast was a little disappointing, would have preferred to order and have it cooked fresh.

The radiator in my room was turned off. It would've been nice to have a warm room. Couldn't find any information relating to temperature control. No low fat spread on buffet.

We were meeting friends for drinks in Darwen so wanted to walk to the restaurant (just 5 mins away) - the road out of the hotel is not lit, has no path and is not even. I would recommend anyone staying to go out for the evening uses a taxi to get to their destination.

We were on the top floor and the views were fantastic. The grounds are also lovely. The room had everything we need, it was a decent size and a very comfortable sleep. We didnt eat but food smelt great. Other hotels in the area have an 11pm curfew so this is a fantastic option if you are having an evening out in the area.
