The room was quite hot The bedroom was lovely and looked like it had been refurbished. The bathroom however let it down the toilet seat was damaged , the tiles were broken and skirting boards. The corner bath had the shower in with a Circular shower curtain which wasn't very good

Dinner was amazing. I was served by Hannah who was very quick and speedy. A great choice of items on the menu! And the tapas was delicious. Room was a perfect size for a one night stay. Bathroom was lovely and big! I didnt stay for breakfast - Im sure I missed out!

1. The windows in the room were covered in mould around the edges (clearly the net curtain retains moisture at this time of the year & they don’t regularly clean the inside of the windows). Shame because the rest of the room was spotless; 2. Some kind of mechanical pump operates overnight : “ba-boom, tish”, low volume but in a very quiet environment, noticeable. Went on for 20 mins then stopped. Started again at breakfast time. Many guests probably would not notice it at all.

Good breakfast but would have been a little expensive, had it not been included in the excellent value Booking.com price. Young staff were very polite & welcoming.

Toilet did not flush well. Not many biscuits in room. Felt like there could be a charge for everything used like small toileteries. Breakfast was a buffet £14 per head is very pricey. Drinks very expensive. Pool closed and Jacuzzi not available.

Scotch egg good, Homous good, Canaloni good, Chips not so good or pizza. Pizza at £14 each would have expected to be better, the pepperoni was cut in half/rationed?

Our room was fairly basic and could do with a revamp. The bed was small and very uncomfortable. No hairdryer, no ledge / shelf in the shower cubicle, no air-con which is not a problem but there should be a small window which you can open rather than just the large ones as it poses a security risk.

Stayed here several times and the location is the main factor in choosing it. Overall the hotel is acceptable with friendly staff, good parking facilities and good food

About 10PM, thought I'd go to the bar for a drink. Nobody serving. There was still a handful of people in the restaurant but the bar was unattended, and couldn't see any staff.

They upgraded my room. A bit pointless as I only slept there but it's the thought. I was in Earl Shilton for a specific purpose, and I later learned that the only alternative hotel there is a total s**thole, so I was lucky I guess.

There were a few things that needed doing, could do with a lick of paint, there were cracks in the ceiling above our bed, otherwise ok,

Ambience was lovely, was nice and cosy, room was lovely and warm once the heating started up, food was delicious, staff we're very friendly, on hand if needed, in a nice setting

Some rooms were modern and very nice others a little dated and could do with an upgrade especially the bathroom floors. Really wanted to give the waiting staff a tip but we were charged £2 a head (x14) to have cake that we provided ourselves. That was very disappointing. Ideally the owner should reverse the charge and give it to the waiting staff. Also only allowing 1 card transaction per table was a little annoying especially with a group of 14.
