Bath room is too small

The bathroom needs repair as the grout around the bath has cracked from the tiles (I was worried about water seeping down the back of the tiles) and the ceiling has mould. Easy fixes though.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Vipin. The room was clean and comfortable with a good tea tray. The bedroom was as expected and we slept really well. The house itself has a lot of character.

Lovely old building and very comfortable. The manager was very charming and very helpful, carrying our bags and happy to have a chat.

The breakfast could have been better. Continental breakfast just doesn’t do it everytime.

The rooms were quite big unlike the normal types in the UK. The property is at a very peaceful location and there’s no outside traffic noise whatsoever.

Excellent value for money very welcoming and attentive nothing was too much trouble for the manager excellent customer care skills! Hotel needs more updating in time free parking bus stops right outside to travel to Bath and surrounding areas look forward to staying again in the future

The place is a lovely listed building. Beautiful grounds and woodland to see from windows. So easy to find near main road yet quiet location. The guy at reception was so helpful, polite and greeted us with a genuinely friendly smile. The room was very clean and comfortable bed.

Breakfast . Toaster took an age to cook. Very little choice asked for weetabix nope only corn flakes . Very cheap yogurt. Coffee was a No no

Lack of staff, had to call them on arrival and saw once in our stay. Although I understand I could call if needed, it was unusual, the room was functional but dated, basin in the bedroom not in the en suite! And furniture was old, working but old, paper peeling on the ceiling Although when I booked breakfast was included when we arrived there was no breakfast! I think some of the photos and reviewers that have posted are of the hotel behind this one as there's no resemblance to we're I was, photos of cooked breakfast and a bar, for example I never saw anyone in the common area, guest or staff and Although breakfast tables were there told £8 extra for continental!

Location with ample, free, parking, lovely historic building, Georgian. 40 minutes to walk to the centre of bath on a straight road with ample bus to catch if needed 👌, quiet, comfortable room with powerful shower

It’s a bus trip into town, you could walk but it’d probably take 30/45 minutes. Which was a shame and the free breakfast was changed just before I booked it so we had to pay for a very basic breakfast.

It’s a lovely property, there’s free parking and the suite we stayed in was gorgeous.

Our bed was only just wide enough for the two of us so that was a bit of an issue but the fact that the room was east facing and had beautiful sunshine pouring in the window for my birthday made up for it.

I liked the styling of the building, the big windows and high ceilings.

It needs a bit of work. Fallen stonework at the entrance to the drive was probably due to a lorry or van knocking it down. It needs tidying up. The kitchen was out of action ( a refurbishment is underway) so we opted against breakfast. One or two repairs in the room would be on my list:- the hot/cold tap on the shower came off although the shower temperature was fine; a gap in the window meant it was draughty until the curtains were pulled. The bed was not made up on any of the 3 nights.

It has character. It was very easy to find and parking was generally easy too though it could be tight when busier. We were offered the best room on arrival at a small extra cost and this was very spacious. The fresh coffee for the cafetière was an added bonus. The young man on reception was very pleasant and helpful.

WiFi was a bit flaky for most of our stay but not a big problem.

Decent parking and location -bus stop outside and about half an hour walk into Bath. Decor a bit ‘tired’ but clean. Beds very comfortable and rooms quiet despite proximity to a major road junction. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was terrible. Weak coffee, nothing cooked, only choice of cereal was cornflakes. Mysterious looking cheese slabs and was it really butter?

Hotel is tired but room was clean. Wall socket in room was hanging down. Shower cubicle very small.

Great location, easy bus route into Bath. Parking on site. Helpful staff. Room a good size with big storage cupboard.
