We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomDriving out of the parking space was a little difficult as visibility was a bit tricky. The cottage is remote with no option to walk to a nearby pub.
We liked the lounge and being able to relax after a full day out. The kitchen had all the amenities needed to prepare meals and with a table and chairs to comfortable dine in the open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Located in central Scotland, we were well connected to reach many places across the country. Having an EV charger was perfect to charge overnight and get going again the following day. One tip, most of the charging happens after midnight, so don't stress if you don't see much progress during the day and evening.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like but maybe some cushions for the bench in the seating area at the side of the cottage would enhance the property even more.
The location of the cottage because it was a good base for exploring around Loch Lomond and further afield.There are several small supermarkets so it's convenient to pick up groceries on the way home after a day exploring.The cottage is very well equipped,cosy and comfortable and has a tumble dryer and an EV charging point.The owner is very kind to provide a generous welcome pack.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ballat Smithy and would highly recommend it to friends& family

There was nothing not to like. An immaculate and very well equipped little cottage close to the southern end of Lovh Lomond with Drymen close by for restaurants and inns for evening meals. Anne is a fantastic and very helpful host. Everything you’d wish for for a lovely stay in Scotland.

United KingdomWasn't walking distance to anywhere, like local shops, pubs, restaurants, leisure centre, etc or any local walking trails, but we knew that when we booked. Couldn't get the Internet to connect but wasn't an issue as we brought our own portable router with us. Couldn't get Netflix to connect as someone else's email was signed into it and wouldn't let us remove it. Wasn't much of an issue either as we weren't there to watch TV.
Cosy cottage. Touch tone lamps in bedroom were nice. Lovely, helpful, approachable owner. Had all that we needed for our stay. Starter pack provided was nice and tasty. Comfortable beds. Plenty of kitchenware for cooking, which we did every day. Board games were fun. Plenty books and maps to explore the surrounding area. Driving distance to Drymen and Loch Lomond and very near to home in Glasgow. Easy to travel to. The horses were lovely at owners cottage next door. Left some items behind on check out which owner has kindly contacted us about and offered to post to us.
