A fantastic, atmospheric, historic villa run by a wonderful couple. The room was absolutely comfortable, impeccably clean, and well-equipped. Breakfasts prepared by the hostess were very tasty and varied! Excellent communication with the host of the house! We will definitely be coming back there. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Barony House is a lovely place to stay. Paul and Susan make everyone feel welcome and the rooms are spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. I will be returning!

I could not fault this hotel. I stayed in the garden room with a beautiful garden and a honesty bar, we even had a decanter of complimentary sherry. My room was beautifully decorated. We also had a kitchen to use and a fantastic sitting room. I wish we had stayed for 2 nights to enjoy it more.

The breakfast was outstanding fresh fruit presented in beautiful tea cups. A secret recepie of apple and honey and yoghurt followed by a tomato omelette with fresh homemade bread and fresh coffee. So many other things to choose from including pancakes. The breakfast was truly amazing Susan is a wonderful cook.

The location was perfect. We prefer to walk to take in our surroundings. It took approximately a 20 minutes leisurely walk to the centre. Taking in points of interest on the way. Alternatively there are 9 bus routes directly outside the property. 5 minutes to the centre for a mimimal charge . We chose to take advantage of the free parking and never used our car once during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding. The choice was vast. Even the way you wanted the food cooking was no trouble.

Nothing, it was all perfect!

The house is so beautifully decorated and inkeeping with all it's original features. A true labour of love by Susan and Paul! The rooms were so clean, and recently redecorated. It's the comfiest bed we've ever slept in! The breakfast was cooked fresh to order each morning with a really good choice of food, of which Susan made each day, including freshly baked bread! Above all else, as 2 superhosts, and myself and my partner working in hospitality, i don't think I've ever met anyone so enthusiastic about what they do, and offering so much wisdom and personal experience to help us enjoy our stay as much as possible! All I can say is, Susan and Paul, you are doing an incredible job, and we can't wait to come back!

Amazing stay, Paul and Suzzie where the nicest hosts, nothing was to much trouble and where there to answer any questions. The breakfast was lovely and they were so accommodating accommodating with allergies. We would really recommend this beautiful place to anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh!

Beautifully restored interior. Exceptionally friendly owners. Best breakfast ever! Room exceptionally comfortable with little touches - sherry, Brodie’s tea and coffee. Great location for walking or public transport into centre of Edinburgh. Would definitely recommend
