I have to say there was nothing we did not like. If I was forced to find something I would say the number of dishes at dinner was limited yet there was one vegetarian, meat and fish dish to choose from however there were plenty of choices for breakfast with a buffet style starter selection.

Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean on the top floor with a view of the harbour. It was cold outside yet the radiator pumped out the heat and the shower was amazing. It was a small room with only 2 single beds as we booked late and that was all that was left being Easter but still lots of space to move around with a seat by the window and beautifully decorated. The dinning room and breakfast area were lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful and the food delicious. For a 2 day break the Bath Hotel is superb with its own bar and quiet room with log fire. We needed to use the public car park on the Esplanade which had lots of spaces but was £12 for 24 hours which we thought was not too bad compared to Cornwall where we normally go. The location is right in the little harbour and just around the corner is the funicular railway which everyone should ride at least once up to Linton.. We were very impressed with everything.

Lovely character rooms far better than just your typical hotel, excellent food, top class tasteful restaurant. Adjoining Pub the ‘Ancient Mariner’ is full of nautical charm and a lovely environment for a drink. All staff are professional and give you a warm welcome!

Unfortunately the house cleaning service didn’t clean or service the room following the first night. I may have been partly responsible as the ‘service my room’ notice needed to be hung on the door, this wasn’t explained, I assumed it was a given that the room would be refreshed. After pointing this out at reception and hanging out the sign, the room was serviced on the second morning apart from the bed, it wasn’t freshened or even made. Other than this, the stay was great!

We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs which was poor quality and VERY expensive (we had a vegan starter and 2 vegan mains and essentially paid £18 for cauliflower and rice - the other dish was noodles and ‘meatballs’ which were so dry I couldn’t actually eat them.. so sad!)

Lovely the decor, location. All the rooms are unique, it was such a beautiful stay and the breakfast was UNREAL! So delicious, there were vegan croissants even, the best buffet spread and hot food too, such great attention to detail here. We loved it.

Very limited car parking - but the hotel voucher for nearby public car park eases the pain. Hotel stairs/ access to rooms awkward with luggage. A lift would be great!
