Room was very small. TV aerial has a loose connection in wire and I spent a long time trying to find a TV channel I could tune in to. No hairdryer after we had got drenched at Thorpe Park. There was a wedding reception being held on the grounds and our room was directly opposite the event so was very noisy until late. The bed was two single beds pushed together and was uncomfortable.

Nice building and grounds. Easy to get to from Thorpe Park.

Upon arrival I was asked to email my proof of ID to their email, and so I didnt hesitate to sent. However, after the check in one of the female colleagues made a very rude remark about my weight- in a language I clearly comprehend, to her surprise she didn’t know I knew. So I brushed it off. I entered my room, and the smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me. I asked the male receptionist if I could get some air freshener. He scrunched his face and got me the air freshener and did apologise for the inconvenience caused. The room’s TV didn’t work. The room was so hot, even opening the window, didn’t bring the temperature done, unfortunately I had to my end there and decided to drive the 2 hours of my remaining journey.

Looked amazing from the outside. Plenty of free car parking. Local to amenities.

the room door lock was broken i reported it and was told this is the only one available. i had to wedge a chair under the handle at night. did not get a good night sleep as i was worried someone would come in. over all really bad stay.

check in was bad, the team behind the counter were asking photo ID, in the end it didn't matter and they provided the room. these details should be specified at time of booking. very very poor

Despite encountering some negative comments, my stay at the hotel was surprisingly pleasant. The quiet location, clean bathroom, and comfortable bed exceeded my expectations. Plus, the ample free parking and CCTV added to the sense of security. Overall, a positive experience

The pictures online were beautiful but it was nothing like the pictures. There was damp and mould in our room, the tv remote didn’t work, the wallpaper was peeling off, the sink was cracked, there was just a hole where the overflow stopper should have been in the bath and the bath tap was full of limescale.

The room we got given was absolutely disgusting, it had thick dust on the walls around the lights, it had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the tv wasn’t even straight mounted on the wall, there where marks and holes in most the walls, the bath was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time, and now the property are ignoring myself and booking.com regarding me getting my money back after having to find another hotel at 9pm

On arrival the property seemed ok, but the talking with another guest at check in things didn’t seem so good, they’d been given a room which already had guests in! They’d been told they had an iron in the room which they hadn’t and then on asking at reception, which we was waiting at, they had no idea where it was! We then got to our room which was absolutely disgusting!!

Holes in the wall, a underdesk office drawer as a coffee stand. Broken AC. wardrobe broken. Office bin as a bin. Tv not working. The room was like a sauna, but staff did give us a Fan. To say this is a 4 star hotel is a major false advertising.

There is no hot water is barely warm so forget it about a hot shower or bath the heating is barely minium. When asked about the water the stuff informed me that the bosses decide to lower it guess to save money paid for a suit got a basic room not even worth a minute of ur time

So many things, to start there are no clear signs stating the reception has moved to round the back of the building so you walk into an abandoned old reception that had dust everywhere and no signing to explain where the new reception is. The rooms were fairly clean but tiny for £60 a night with no curtains or blinds, a broken light, stains on the wall, all the halls smelt of stale cigarettes despite being ‘no smoking’ and there was a party going in one of the other Baylis buildings where there was loud music on until 12:30 midnight so I could not sleep to then be woken up by the light very early in the morning as I had no curtains. I don’t agree with this accommodation being £60 a night, particularly for the experience I had so would like to enquire about at least a partial refund. Everything was also of the cheapest quality like the pillows, duvet etc and the fact there wasn’t even a curtain!

It looks nice from the outside and shower was powerful.

The room was dirty with marks on the wall and very dark. Was a funny smell as well and in whole, completely deceptive to how the post made the property out to be.

No kettle in the room. Difficult to find in the dark. Reception poorly signposted, no bedside light. door lock did not work, no food facilities, bathroom has seen better days no breadfast, available. Won;t use it again and I am dissapointed that it is on your web side

The room was horrible, with mould around the window, and dirty floors. The bed moved around the room and marked the wallpaper. Checking in was awful, the guy was in a tracksuit.

As the hotel is located in a quiet area, it was quiet and pleasant. The bathroom and bed was clean. I read some very negative comments and reviews but it met my needs and I was positively surprised.
