Room 4 stinks awful. Unbearable! Needs to change some long-term residents and sanitize. Smells of horrible body oder! Staff was great and moved our group of 5 to a new room. Much better. Staff fixed our problem quickly.

I was not happy with the pillow and blanket. They were not good. Moreover, the closet was really small and narrow. The toilets were clean and the building was so silent :)

The noise early morning outside

Staff very friendly and helped us to our rooms. Rooms where good and warm. There was noise outside window as was in an industrial area which I didn't realize on booking. Good for the money received a complementary breakfast

There was some kind of buzzing/beeping noise inside the room (Room 6) during the whole night. Not sure if it was some electrical fault in some of the power sockets or someone’s phone charger with defect, but it would be good to check it.

It was almost perfect, comfortable bed, curtains in bed, power socket, locker… the shower was great and neatly clean. Free breakfast was a good bonus too.

why only 1 room for female-only? A lot of female solo-travellers would love to stay in the hostel. Hopefully you can increase female rooms only :(

Comunial areas were lovely. Large kitchen with everything you could wish for in it. Impressed you could borriw a towel.

I know it is a budget property but the decor is a bit tired and in need of an overhaul at some stage.

The property is always clean and tidy, plus the staff are always brilliant: very friendly and helpful.

Beds were a little difficult to get in and out of, especially the middle bunks. They could also get very hot when the curtain was closed all the way.

You can't argue with the price. A single room, in the city centre. I needed to stay over in Birmingham, mid week so I could go for work drinks without the need to travel +75 mins home late at night and then +75 mins back into Birmingham the next morning. All I wanted was a room that was clean with a lock on the door and was quiet enough to sleep, with ideally ensuit. This ticked those boxes. There was no TV in the room, no clothes rail and hangers, but there were some hooks on the back of the door and an iron in the communial area. Also there was decent wifi. Did I get what I paid for? Ultimately yes. If I can afford more though, I would pay the extra to stay else where. I can't so the other question is would I stay here again on the budget I have. The answer to that is yes, if I just need a bed to sleep in. I did feel a little out of place the next moring with my work shirt on. It didn't feel like a backpackers place from my younger years so not exactly a fun vibe, but I got the bonus of a couple of slices of toast for breakfast.
