The Blue Ball is in a super location. I had a very comfortable and cosy room with a fabulous view. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the restaurant food good. Good parking too.

The food was good, but not excellent, and the menu wasn't quite to our preference, but it was by no means bad, just not excellent.

Loved the room, and it's a beautiful old building. Lady in reception was extremely nice, all bar staff nice too. We slept really well and it's in a beautiful location

My husband felt the bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable. Some areas a little tired. Shower hose in room faulty.

Due to the age of the building some areas looked a little tired and in need of TLC.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Changed our room to encompass our wish for a walk in shower. Food and drinks excellent, along with the service. Seating by a wood burning fire after a walk on the moors was very relaxing. Excellent range of walks available to explore the area.

The stairs to the rooms. These are to be expected in an old inn but were difficult to manage with a suitcase.

The inn is old and full of character. We thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere whilst having our lunch and drinks in the bar area.The breakfast was excellent as was the staff member on duty at the time. She was super friendly and helpful. Our twin room with a view was particularly comfortable and extremely clean.

My partner and I had a one night stay. Everything for us was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was super cosy , breakfast was excellent . Gluten free options available. Would most definitely return and certainly recommend .

This was a last minute choice but so glad we stayed there. It really made my birthday and the staff were brilliant. Our evening meal was amazing, couldn’t fault it. If returning to the area we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Many hotels say they are dog friendly but often comes with limitations like going for breakfast , the whole hotel is dog friendly. Your dog is even greeted with a welcome bag with bowls, treats ,a tennis bowl and even Dog beer. The reason this one is so different is your dog is allowed everywhere including the restaurant, the staff obviously love dogs and treat you and your dog incredibly well . Having said this, if you don't have a dog, it's still a great place as I couldn't believe there is no smell of dogs in the hotel or the bedrooms at all which is a credit to their cleaning staf!

Our shower didn’t work. There was no one on reception when we arrived or when we left. Staff were really nice at breakfast and dinner though.

Lovely location right on the coast, pet friendly, loved the original features inside, cosy feel with open fires.

Superb location and quaint building with oak beams and log burners throughout. Food was great and staff extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room had everything that was needed with a comfortable bed and clean, fresh bathroom. We have stayed before and will stay again.
