Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. Reasonable walk into Braintree for restaurant. No problem in dry weather but would need a taxi if raining.
Excellent welcome especially as it was a pre wedding night stay for our son. All our party were situated close together allowing for easy preparations. Fabulous steamy showers which reduced ironing time for wedding outfits and kilts. Easy to order taxis in the morning of departure.

Broken shower taps can be replaced.
Good value for money. Allow our dog to stay, there is an indoor breakfast place for us and our dog, separate from the main dining area.

Honestly couldn’t have asked for more for the price we paid!
From initial booking and requests we made for early check in and rooms together, the service we received was fantastic. On check in, the receptionists were very attentive and organised the key for our early check in. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had great facilities such as iron and board, tea and coffee making, shower gel, shampoo conditioner. Breakfast was amazing, we did not expect such a huge selection of hot and cold foood. All at such a reasonable price. We will be booking Holiday I n Express for future breaks!

My only criticism was the kettle in the room made the morning coffee taste chemically. However this is very minor as the coffee in the hall was perfect and had take away cups so I could bring it back to my room!
It was clean, comfortable, had everything I needed including air con! Breakfast was tasty. Was a buffet with good variety. Kept topped up and maintained well by staff. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Polite staff, helpful and cheerful. I had no trouble at all.

The only thing I found that could be improved was the bottom of the shower door needed cleaning, I wouldn't live with that at my own home.
Very convenient position, quiet and peaceful night. Relaxed morning with good choice of breakfast.

I only have dislike about the location and uber unavailability. Location is too far for who travel by public transports and staff sorted out the taxi issue by some local taxi( I think Braintree taxi or something).
Its a bidget friendly best option with better room and facilities and I liked it all

The plug for the sink didn't fit properly, that was really the only minor thing.
The choices at breakfast were excellent, although maybe some children's yoghurt would be beneficial. The beds were extremely comfortable, even the sofa bed. The room was very spacious, the easy chair was also comfortable; what was noticeable was that whether you were in bed or sitting in the chair, there was a reading lamp nearby ..... top marks !

The only downside was that the other guests doors would slam during the night. Might be worth looking into soft close doors. Other than that, really happy to have stayed the night, would book again

No dislikes
Lovely big room, very accommodating to my dogs. Room very clean, shower easy to use and powerful. Stayed on a hot weekend so air conditioning in the room was fantastic. Bed very comfy with choices of soft or firm pillows. Breakfast included, loads of choices with some take way options.

nothing to really report
nice place and comfortable room. I had an issue related to a suit plug point within the room that required some help from the reception and they were very helpful in solving the issue I had in a quick and effective manner. Breakfast was good which helps start the day. if I am working back in that area agian I will be returning to this hotel.
