One member of staff was a little 'moody', only one. Others were very approachable.

Not all rooms are created equal but they could be dressed the same. We paid the same price for 3 double rooms but 1 was way lovelier than the others even though we were told they were the same. Two of our rooms were above the kitchen which was noisy until late

Prices in the restaurant are way too high for what's offered in terms of the food. Also, breakfast is not great, tiny portions and quality is not great.

Lovely spot with super nice and helpful staff. Dogs allowed and very enthusiastically so, which we loved! It's under 10 mins drive to Loch Garten so great for those of us who are ot fans of camping 😁

We were quite happy but we had to change room as there was a noticeable electrical noise in the first but the staff were attentive and found a solution. One downside though was that the water pressure in the shower was very low. Adequate for a quick shower but not to wash long hair.

Location was very good. We liked the breakfast menu with enough varied options and we liked the room we were given which was spacious and quiet and with a nice view.

Not enough staff . No hot water in room after small bath ..even shower was stone cold .waited 2 hrs and still none . Staff running around like idiots ..needs more staff like its always had ...we've been coming for 8 years and never had a bad time ..this time it was for my 50th ..I no allabout staff issues in area but it's hurting this hotel ...also no lager on draught .only small bottles of tiger .vostong same as a pint nearly £6. Such a shame ...will.rethink abt returning for anniversary in August..neve said that in 8 years .we travel 330 miles up to aviemore and pick the boat over everywhere in aviemore.sad

We only stayed the 1 night as was on a roadtrip around the Highlands but enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly & helpful from the moment we checked in until we checked out. We had both evening meal & breakfast, the the food was lovely on both occasions. We had a Garden room, loved having french doors opening onto a decking area, was so nice sitting in the garden having coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Reception staff not particularly welcoming or helpful, did not fix a minor room issue or apologise. There are small repairs needed in the room, eg chipped paintwork, basin plug not working etc.

If I'm being really picky, car parking beside the hotel was tight. There was nothing that I didn't like.

The rooms are spacious and well decorated in a consistent theme that runs throughout the hotel that are subtle and not overwhelming. A pleasant and traditional feel. The food was excellent and the staff and service was great.

We were in the suite . Lovely room but grubby carpet and no water or glasses in the room. Had to be asked for. On second morning the breakfast took an hour to arrive and one of them was inedible. However we were refunded for it.

Draughty windows letting arctic air into the room. Fortunately the curtains were better than most at holding it back. It was below minus 10 overnight so exceptionally cold. Breakfast coffee was not the best and I really value a proper coffee first thing! I found it difficult to find healthy options on the dinner menu, but staff were very accommodating of my adaptations and odd choices.

The room was lovely. It was actually closer to a suite than a room. Nicely decorated sitting area, with a great view, through double doors to a bedroom with an ensuite off it. The ensuite had both bath and shower. Food was good - we had both breakfast and dinner there. Dinner in the bar by a cosy open fire. Breakfast in the breakfast room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Boat of Garten itself had lots of easy walking that was do-able even in the truly Arctic weather we had mid-January and the roads were kept gritted. (an important consideration when contemplating going away to the Cairngorm area without a 4W drive vehicle)
